this isn't BC.. This is like saying the PS3 will be able to play Windows games, which ofcourse it really doesn't..
You can only call it BC if you can actually put in the original disc and play.. And even for the PS1 it sux, the PC PS1 emulator is better and nicer at emulating PS1 games than the PS1 emulator in the PS3..

And I don't want/need everything for free, I only want an easy to use option. Like playing backups from HDD is much easier as from disk. I own every game (license) I play for your information.

And about the Vita memory cards: $ony only fits their own memory slot for greed. If they think about their customers they would have fitted a normal memory slot (like micro SDHC) so you (I don't care about it) can use a standard memory card from other brands. That is called competition and everybody benefits from it. Now only $ony benefits.

As far as the piracy bit, you show how narrow minded your point of view is. You are accusing people of being pirates when you don't even know them. Funny thing is that a thief always thinks that other people are thieves, a cheating woman/man always thinks her man/woman is cheating... what does that say about people that accuse others of being pirates?

Ummm yes sony ONLY care about money. Why would they shaft us from day one? It's much better to sucker us in with promises, and then when we are "stepping in it" they can shaft us. Besides, did you expect sony to release the ps3 at $900+? exactly who was going to buy it at that price tag? The only thing I think taking a loss says about them is that they are confident they will make the money back.

Free online gaming? yeah, hackers also got all my info for free thanks to their free gaming. I also spent a couple hundreds on the PSN, so forgive me if I don't think it's free. Well you could say it's free, the same way it's free for me to go into a best buy store.

MAME absolutely rocks, and if you had any idea you would know they only support games AFTER they are no longer active in arcade circuits. In fact, a great deal of the games MAME supports are public domain.

Lastly, piracy killing the gaming industry?... ummm it sure doesn't help it that's for sure. You want to know what is really killing the gaming industry? $60 for half a game + $15 to unlock DLC that is more accurately On Disc Content, publishers that want to milk great series, etc, etc. Piracy should be the least of the concerns the gaming industry should worry about; they should worry about keeping paying customers happy, or at the very least not make their lives miserable in their battle against piracy.

IMHO your opinion is like that of somebody that is paid by sony, it's the only way I could explain everything that you overlook.

They specifically used the words "emulation of the PS2" and "backwards compatible with ALL your PS1 and PS2 games". That's not the same as making PS3 ports and making you buy the game again to be able to play them in HD.
