There is only soldering if you want to fast dual boot. E3 flasher is only for nor chip models.

hey again everyone, got some bad news... i only received my E3 flasher yesterday, since then, i've been working on it, but with no success, and now i think i'm screwed...

I had to open the ps3, 3 times to adjust the clip, and i still got errors, but i'm sure the clip is installed correcly, there's no space between the clip and the mainboard, and it doesn't move... I have a samsung chip on my ps3, and everywhere i look, it seems that no one tried with this one yet, but i'm preety sure i got it right, because i was able to do a flash dump. At least, that's what i thought. I tried to use the e3 nor dump checker, and it didn't work, something about not having access to boot something.. so i did checked it with HxD. Everything looked ok, the size, the percent of 0's and f's, and it was byte reversed, so i used flow rebuilder to revert the bytes.

I continued the tutorial, and at some point, it didn't take me to service mode, i powered the ps3, and no video, audio, and hdd access. "this sh*t is bricked..." i haven't tried yet to solder the two point i had to unbrick, because, i found out how to check the dump with flow rebuilder, so i did it, and both have errors... so, i have my ps3 bricked, and no dump to use. is there any way to revert this? at some point i even tried to install OFW 4.11 again, since it gave that option, but at some point, i got "the data is corrupted 8002F157". I tried almost everything i could remember, with no success. now, while i wait for answers, i'm trying with someone else dump, then if it doesn't work, i'll solder the two points...

no you can't flash dump from other console. it will lead to brick. you dont have good dumps? try backup flash (101000)

from what i understand you can't enter service mode.what dongle you use?have you update the downgrade firmware?

other solution is to take off e3 stuff from ps3 and connect hdd.try power eject for service mode

i don't have any good dumps no... i could try to backup the flash, but isn't the flash memory corrupted now somehow? and isn't the switch set 0010000, instead of 101?

i used ps3jig (it worked for playerkp420), and yes, i updated fine the first time i've done something with the e3 flasher.

I saw somewhere, i could try to use a good dump from another console, if it's a CECH-2004A, but i can't find one anywhere..

Now i'm going to try to make a flash dump, even if it's corrupted..

no you cannot use someone else's dumps

normal backup is 001000 . flash backup is 101000 . both doing the same way (backup dump)

now the problem is you can enter fsm.from what i read not all ppl successfully entered service mode with ps3jig. try with dongle 1st. you can use e3 card reader,ps3 break etc etc

i don't have a dongle, and don't know anyone who got one... And by the looks of this, i'm not going to buy a dongle, if there isn't any chance of recovering this...

i was a able to do a good, clean dump (001000) now. Flowrebuilder successfully reversed the .bin. Now i'm going to try to do it like you said. If it works, which one should i use when i solder the cable?

edit

done it. now i have both normal and flash dumps. And good ones. Damn E3, not working the first time, and now working two times in a row...

edit

i found my bad dump from earlier, tried to revert and extract, with errors... then i compared both bad, and good dumps extracted folders, and i've noticed some differences. Should i try to copy paste some files from the good dump, to the bad dump folder, then "zip" it back to a .bin file, and then check again for errors?

Not at all, i'll edit this post to add the link to download. It'll have 101000 good dump, and 001000 good and bad dump.

edit

btw, the solder process, is just to keep the console on? because, if it only does that, it will be pointless me doing that, because the console stays on as long as i want... it's like it got into a coma... doesn't react at all, but it's on..

edit, here is the link:

http://www.multiupload.nl/W426E4O2QN

i forgot to say, ps3jig seemed to be working fine, after i turned the console on with power+eject combo move, in the PSP, it seemed allright... received something, sent something, and ok...

i already did that... with both of them, with the setup on the E3, 100000. Files in SD, e3_downgrade.bin and bkpps3.bin (the one done with 101000, and then the one done with 001000).

At some point i pressed the power button 2 or 3 times, for 10 seconds... i'm using hdmi, is it possible the ps3 is trying to use av cable? i don't have a TV right now to try, but i remembered that could be a possibility... but, then there is the no hdd access, usually, the hdd light in the ps3 lights up at startup, and now it doesn't, not even 1 time.
