That topic is slightly misleading. The payload was dumped, but there's a lot more to it than that. Now they're really reversing it, i.e. figuring out how it works, what it does, what bits are DRM and what aren't.

I can't say if it's "close" to being released to the public, but it's certainly a step forward. They have the code to the dongle and now they're seeing what makes it tick. Somewhere inside it, past all the BS DRM crap and PS3-bricking anti-counterfeit bull**** is the secret sauce that makes it all work. I believe that part is still elusive but each little bit more brings us one step closer to it.
