What a dick... um... NO. I love the staff here. Sometimes news that's posted could be considered borderline news. But I would expect that when there is lack of news in the scene. And when there IS news usually GR is right on top of it before anybody else. the only joke i see is true blue dividing everybody and causing arguments but hopefully that will all end soon. And I love this site come here for all my ps3 news and information. Go to another site if you don't like us

As a writer for DashHacks, and a contributor to the scene in the way of tutorials (no I don't consider myself an epic hacker or anything, just helpful to those who want to know how to use the hacks), I can empathise with PS3hax and the situation the site is in.

News is extremely scarce. The Rebug update was the biggest thing to happen in a long time, with PSN access included everyone jumped on it and it was something the scene needed.

With the stupid TB dongle now being the "mainstream" thing to get, and it being the main source of playing later FW games on old CFW, it is killing the scene.

Do I think the site has gone downhill? No. It is the availability of big news, or any news for that matter, and there is none. E3 rumours, complaints of the dongle, Rebug and Multiman updates are the majority of "worthy" writing topics.

Why did pirate decide to change the name?

I know they are a part of the scene, but as far as I know, complaining won't stop them from being made.

Secondly, gripes were made about front page articles not forum posts like this...

Also, no need to get your threads in a knot, I said I was just giving feedback.

It seemed that a majority of the scene was a bunch of disrespectful, foul mouthed, impatient people wanting free games and PSN access.

So, I'd say that the dongles are helping the scene, seeing as that majority most likely bought them.

If however the majority of the scene aren't them but rather those who want homebrew and such, then, I'd say that the lack of homebrew game and app devs is what is killing the scene.

After all, no one seems to want to(which isn't a surprise seeing as even game studios dislike developing for PS3, or so I've read)

Sure there's a few updates to certain ones, but I'm talking about new apps and games.

In my opinion, the scene is killing itself and there's no one else to blame.

No matter, the fact being is, I'm just saying it would be nicer to have more clean and orderly news from this site(not necessarily grammatically correct, as long as articles don't read as: hei guyz nu firmwear! or anything)

I understand if there's errors in grammar because some of you might have different main languages, and some might not have all day to write an article and correct every mistake, but that wasn't what I perceived to be a problem.

While I think your tolerance for grammar mistakes is something nice, I also think the thread title is rude and the idea of the poll itself unnecessary.

I know I should have chosen different words for it.

Also, I just put the poll there to see if anyone agreed.

If the whole idea of this was attract attention, you done it.
We are far from perfect (and im talking about me in this case) as a USER first, second as MODERATOR and third as SUPERMODERATOR.
But mainly im speaking as an user and mod, it's a hard task were you get involved and deal with problems that certain amount of users DON'T know the term *RESPECT* being the FIRST ones to lift a complain form and ***** about how bad you are and how bad you perform your tasks.

As a MOD:

I have to answer questions as the other mods on HAX that were answered 100 times, but still with a virtual smile on my face i put my best effort to try not to insult the demanding response of some random user.
Because the behaviour of many users turned to request an IMPERATIVE solution to the most simple problem. And man!! it's hard as hell talk to someone that just don't want to understand and when you fixed their problem NOT EVEN a single thanks was given for the help.
I have to delete, do guides, move threads, moderate topics, manage infracts, and countless things that you don't know!!! and you don't have to know either because it's not your *role* here in HAX. You are an user and i have to *protect* you even if you are the one who is backstabbing me.

But still you have the NERVE to do a thread telling that HAX is going downhill and mentioning my frontpaged thread about the DLC of Hitler on Sniper elite.
Is not related to the SCENE. (Well done sherlock)
And i have enough patience to tolerate this kind of disrespect towards the community (the users) and the staff which i work along with.
In other site you will end with a perma-ban.

I can't be more *happier* in this place, even with the headaches it's brings to me sometimes.
To then someone LIKE YOU come use a punchline *it's dead..the site it's going down* and make a poll...

As a SUPERMOD:

Pirate (the ONE who keeps the site UP in order to you to complain) along with greg the REAL deal when it comes to post news and keep the dynamic content flowing. (he betted for me to help him with the news) gave me this *power* to frontpage, the problem is when there's no NEWS to post. What you will do in my place? leave it empty?.
Post about the whereabouts of nodex, or just another FAKE CFW news?.
My logic dictates: if it's nothing to be seen on the frontpage, well i take my time and redact some text involving an issue/problem/hint that never was touched again or was left for dead.

Yeah, probably my logic is wrong and i SUCK as a newsposter. But like @GregoryRasputin and many others we have 3 *JOBS* instead of one.
Being an user, then a mod and finally a supermod. And above all of those being an active part of the community (like senior/regular/good/reliable members) contributing with us with a good/nice/smooth feedback.
So, you have to moderate if someone get's out of line meanwhile you are redacting the news, you get distracted because your inbox is filled with reports and guess what? I DON'T *****, i left the text aside for some minutes fix the problem and comeback to what i was doing, the text (the news).
Now doing some calculations, if you have 10 reports and you are browsing randomly on the threads (moderating) to spot some spambot or some violent behaviour or some rule is broken you have to ACT. Meanwhile you noticed that you forgot about frontpage the news, and it's LOGICAL that ends with more TYPO errors than you tought.
Im doing 3 things at the time, it's not easy and as i said im far from perfect but i try, i really TRY to excel myself.

So ME telling you all of this, i pretty much resumed the *functions* that we the mods, the staff and the members who contribute in the board, have to deal on a daily/week/month basis.

Now...i REQUEST some honest response and tell me. Was really necessary lift a complain about HAX goind down? when YOU don't know even a 3% of what WE done while you took your time to do this thread?.

I want an honest response.

@HELLSING .....wow chill dude i dont think anyone is having a go at you (or the way im reading it their not)...
i can understand unlimitedrevolvers frustration at a lack of scene activity...(i think we all feel the same?)..
@Unlimited revolver...maybe your thread could of had a less volatile header but your entitled to your own viewpoint.
so how can we improve the site....how about more news on e3 or more game reviews?
Hax is the only site i use for ps3 news and will continue to do so....

peace out..

Last I knew dlc IS ps3 related. Btw any TV news station has "filler" content. For instance, a few days ago on the news they told a story of how some second grade students went to a college. They gave out flowers wearing capes and told people to have a super day. Stories as such, even though they are not really news, have a place in media. They are meant to distract/ touch you emotionally/ and even purchase junk you don't need. As far as I can tell the story about dlc content has more to do with the ps3 than, the junk stories they call news they air on TV.
Not trying to sound like a dick(comes natural 'insert tug joke'), but do you write your local news station complaining about their stories?
