@JustThatDude to clarify; Any machine on any firmware can enter FSM with a jig. The Lv2diag.self that exits FSM (along with all other leaked service files) was revoked in 3.56. Which means if you are dumb enough to stick a jig in a 4.11 machine, power reset, power/eject, then you will have a nice useless machine stuck in FSM forever, or until the new service files get leaked. We can't write new Lv2diag.selfs for 3.56+ because we don't have private keys for it.

Okay then why can't we just make a new way to get out, because from my understanding we can downgrade without a problem. The problem is getting out
of FSM. Also would it be practical to say that maybe we can downgrade to a 3.55MFW and bypass having to go into OFW because if we did that maybe someone would find a way to run a homebrew app that allows us to get out or maybe find a way to run homebrew while in FSM. Cause if you look at it, it makes perfect sense. Possibly im not looking deeper enough but downgrading in FSM to a CFW seems pretty plausible to me because after that is done its seems(and correct me if i am wrong)pretty easy to find a way to run a homebrew that would get us out.

You can't downgrade in fsm on 4.11. You can enter, but not do anything, for the reasons above. It is like being at the boobie bar with no money. You can't get a lap dance.

That is why we need a hardware flasher, to insert a patch to the nor/nand flash. That will then allow the downgrade with fsm.

I know I was just saying that if we could that it be great. Then this turned into a discussion of me discussing idea's for possible exploits that are easier then having to re-du a MFW(right now we are on the FSM discussion).
