Dependant on the hardware, it can be replicated/emulated (not easy though).
But until the process is 100% known (not assumed or summarised) at least people/devs have a process to start from.

For all we know, it could be a software method which is easily done by any user.

Nobody but TB knows 100% how its done.

If tb dies, there will be new eboots. The eboots do NOT come from TB but from LEECHERS. They resign the eboots with TB keys. TB has made their fw compitable with newer games( not needed for all games) which means if they get cracked the leechers can patch it for US the free scene.

I also am 100% sure they have newer keys. They don't make cfw 4.11 because then anyone can have it. So thats why they used 3.55. If it was 4.11 we didn't need their eboots.
