Well you don't need to delete the homebrew, but getting rid of the modified lvl1 and 2 files by downgrading is essential unless you want a possible brick. Also deleting the history? I was on geohot cfw some time ago and had all my homebrew and stuff when I updated and nothing bad happened yea i now its because i didnt patch the lvl 2. If i did i would've had a bricked ps3 :/
