Downgrading cecha01 PS3?
Thinking of trying to downgrade my up-to-date FW 60gb ps3. The cecha01 model. I know the only way is via hardware. So can it be done on this version? I know one method is E Flasher or something? I don't mind doing soldering and all that..
Any help is appreciated! |

You are good to go with Progskeet.
@YamiJustin
since it's NAND.

Your model has NAND memory, so you have to solder.
No problem ![]() You have PS3 models that have NOR instead of NAND, in your case you have to use a hardware flasher like progskeet. In which firmware you are actually? 4.11?

I read there is something called Solderless Progskeet? Does this work too?
I am on the current firmware, I think 4.11 or w.e., since i was online the other day. Also does this method do dual-booting? I read somewhere that one method might allow you to boot up into different firmwares, which would be cool. Ha, sorry for all the questions. I've taken apart PS3s and pasted them up and changed parts, and have CFW on my other PS3 (but that died and didn't need to be modded myself), but I have little knowledge on how to modify a system yourself without already being on 3.55 or lower. |
