I truly respect and also agree with all your thoughts about this device.
However, things are really different on the other side of the world. Imagine you are living in a country in which the minimum wage is less than $500 and that's what you get payed but you are interested or say you love PS3 games. You hardly save some of your hard earned money to get a PS3 which sells for $380 at the moment (which used to sell for almost $900 for the first few years) Then the fun starts because you need to buy games around $70 plus shipping . So, you do the math and please do not tell me to buy one or two games a month because you hardly live with what you earn. This is pure piracy I accept that but how could you afford to have fun?

The dongle NEVER got any legal issue, but the device itself was the one who keeped on failing on his costumers.

1) Failed attempts on some updates
2) Like i said legal *piracy*

It's something (for me) that they allowed in order to kill the scene and spam us with all this nonsense of purchasing some magical solution in order to play backups on higher firms, but the weird fact = no homebrew, only warez.
They wanted this result ($ony) and they get what they wanted after all.

Sadly for them, now the situation is changing.

You don't speak for everyone. I'm a dev myself, I know what's what and still I do support TB and can't see how exactly do they hurt the scene. It's not like it's sleeping dead now just because ALL the DEVS have suddenly stopped coding until TB is gone and forgotten.

I need homebrew and games - I get TB. I need homebrew only - I don't get it and stick with free stuff like kmeaw.

It's like this.
Tonight you want to go outside and drink a beer. (Devs develop for the PS3)
Your best friend just got into hospital. (TB does only piracy)
What will you serve first? Your will to go on and bring the scene further or do you help your friend?
Most none ******* people would try to crack/destroy TB.
I would be there for my friend, but in the ps3 scene i'm an ******* and don't bother much with TB, but I know alot people who do.

First, thanks. And i respect your point of view, but the *solution* is killing progress. You want to play your backups? why pay 600 pesos (in my case the price of a new legit game) when you can get the solution for free.
You don't have homebrew, you only want to have fun and im not insulting the people who want's to play backups but the ones that comes here and post meaningless messages and protecting a product that failed TWICE on their costumers.

If it was for me (just in case) im a white hat (according to wiki), and i know the *manifesto* plus ethical and morals involved with all the term of *hacker* means, that can be discussed openly. TB team are crackers (aka black hats)

I don't get it, how it did fail the consumers. I never heard of any TB ****ups. They still do release new patches. The dongle is working perfectly, the delivery was ok too.

1) Lifespan of the product (quality)
2) Random posts about all the HDD drama avoiding clones. (With their update)
3) 0 feedback from their part, site it's upsidedown (most of the times)
4) Bricks.

Want more?

Yes, because I didn't have any of the forementioned problems and I'm a consumer.

1) Quality is top notch, what are you talking about?
2) HDD drama is a downside only for non-consumers, because TB consumers will have none of it. Original TB = safe HDD.
3) They never promised the feedback, so http://www.truebluejb2.com/info.html is all you get. The installation guide is pretty thorough. It's down not most of the time, don't lie. It's down sometimes because of the high demand.
4) I'm sure that bricks are the user issue. It's like you say that Kakarotoks fails customers because his patches sometimes brick the system of some idiots who can't follow the instructions.

1) If you say so..do some review about it. For me it's the most fragile peace of **** that i saw.
2) Halt! It's a paradox, they are the ones who are legal pirates but they *don't give a damn* about their costumer, what IF you want to use a clone? or you ended with a cloned TB you plug and DAMN your hdd wiped, why that's type of security measure?..
3) Hell of way to threat their buyers..no feedback. AT ALL
4) Yeah..you are right. (sic)

That is what i keep asking myself....

With the original PSJB $ony was able to seize almost every PSJB by China's customs. And with the TB buttplug they do absolutely nothing.

Only thing I can think of is TB uses a kind of backdoor that is legal and can't be stopped by $ony with legal actions
