i'm still amazed that devs bother to pay attention to this scene :S the last year it has been nothing but "omfg no 4.xx cwf? useless..."

it has been a good year anyway, with some small gifts along the way, and now the last couple of weeks, has been totally insane..

good job developers, i applaude you for your gifts even though 90% of the ps3 lurkers are ungrateful kids.

You need to go back to a dictionary and check the difference between the words:

1.Decryption
2.Reverse Engineering
3.Replication

I doubt that most of you understood what this thread is about and you already run into conclusions and even worse you start up a fight between you that makes no sense.

The two things we need:

1. A eboot supplier
2. Developers which fix the incompitabilities of the running games.

Thats tb's secret. The only thing tb does is fixing the checks made by the newer eboots.

I got this from a guy I know from hackforums. He is in one of those teams that gets the eboots but he doesn't get his hands on it. When he gets the eboots he will pas it to me and I will release it. He said the eboots don't need to be fixed but the firmware. The eboot gets encrypted by the team.

He hopes to share the unsigned eboots as soon as he gets his hands on it. He also told me we cab decrypt those eboots with TB keys which are in the dongle or firmware. He thinks its in the dongle but he doesn't know.

Way long to go, yet. It's not an easy task. Since someone has to re-rewrite what TB done with the EBOOTS in order to work with this possible solution.

He just told me we have 2 choices. Hope he gets the eboots from his team members or decrypt the eboots with tb keys. The latest is a bad choice because the keys get updated once we discover them.

Perhaps its a good option to make a donate option for suppliers. If they can prove they have them. We donate them. The proof could be a half eboot.

Long rant put in a spoiler so it doesn't take up an entire page

Now, i don't usually post..but i feel the need to get it out of my system. I don't really enjoy seeing news anymore. At least for the PS3 scene. 30% of it is talk, 30% is false promises, 40% is 'getting closer to cracking *insert title here*', and 100% of it is getting your hopes up and waiting for months and months. We get 'closer', but when i say closer, it's like chopping down a tree with a very very very durable toothpick. Bit by bit, the tree gets chopped down, but all we get is tiny tidbits of the tree and they become an entire newspaper. For every little splinter of the big OFW tree we're trying to fell, we get an entire newspage, thread, flame war, dongle hate (which, don't get me wrong, i'm against it too, but it -always- comes to every single thread about news. if anything, i'm against them because of the $|-|1+ they start in threads), 'does this lead to cfw?' noobs, people repeating the same old 'who says the scene is dead?' for 'e-props', people bashing other people, people bashing devs, people bashing, flaming, trolling, all from just a tiny little splinter of a tree. It's not even news once you get past the 'read more'. it's a sea of ignorance and trolls. every single friggin time. Everyone is so friggin hungry for that tree to be chopped down that even the smallest, most trivial (and sometimes big news, but not so much lately) gets thrown to the dogs (yes, i'm referring to us) when we have no idea what the hell it does for us. if you read news about something that you don't understand, but it has the title, phrase, or comment 'CLOSER TO CFW!!!!', you're going to (stupidly) get your hopes up for nothing. I understand any news is good news, but really..almost all of the news is useless to the common man, and so we just spend our time hating on everything. Iunno, i really don't know where the |=|_|(|< i was going with this rant, but really man. We need serious, genuine good news. Not about TB, not about getting closer, we need someone to step forward, say '|=|_|(|< it, here you go', and give us the keys to our destiny, or at the very least our PS3s. I'm tired of living in purgatory.
