Okay, so the pirates (Trueblue) steal code from other authors (some of them pirates also) to help make their product and the author of this news post is stealing the stolen code to figure out how the TB works (stealing as he doesn't have permission or the rights to disassemble and use the code. I know, hackers will hack - most don't care about licenses, rights or have morals).

The only difference I see here is that the second person pirating the TB code isn't or hasn't mentioned if the end result will require a blank Dongle (like the original days) or if it will be totally free software (if it requires a Dongle you'll have to make your own or buy one, but hopefully it will work with the PSP!!!). Point being the only difference is the fact that TB costs money (trust me, I don't want one). Both parties are stealing from someone.

Also from what I understand the TB code isn't 100% stolen and if a Dongle is required for a free solution then it does indeed require hardware therefore TrueBlue also designed the hardware required which is not an easy task. The recent discovery of the Virtual Machine leads me to believe some sort of delivery device (dongle) will be required for any free solution, but I could be totally wrong about that.

If this does indeed lead to a free solution I believe that proper credit to the TrueBlue Team for creating the code they actually created (and Dongle, if necessary) is required. I also think that TrueBlue should give credit to any code used, but if we do not give credit for stealing from them regardless if what we're stealing is already stolen then we are no better then them in that regard. Also remember that using free code in your own work and charging for it is allowed depending on the license it's been published under; if any and some license do not require to even mention the author of the code being used).

So yes, I believe that people should give proper credit for TrueBlue doing what no one else could at the time - that is if people are man enough to admit their pirating code from pirates to use more then likely pirated games as the only reason for the TB is to play backups (which are illegal in most countries) and pirated games (the pirating part could lead to a whole other debate so I will leave it at that).

---

I'm new here so please don't throw my question out of the window because of that fact or the fact I have really no posts as doing so makes no sense as someone new is capable of having an opinion and should be able to share it without being judged for just being new. That's just immature.

Thanks for listening (reading).

these tb threads can get so long and yet discuss so little beyond how ignorant pro-tb users are
