it's just Sony using SDAT 4.0 to encrypt some data files on disc so it only works on firmware 4.0. Nothing new here, they have been doing this quite a lot for a few games lately, but obviously this didnt prevent TB to reverse the SDAT 4 algo and repack them as SDAT 2.7.0.

Max payne wont load past update screen for me, says update to 1.02 i cancelled tht, Im using the BLUS30557 version, I uninstalled the 4.11 rebug spoofer which i was using on TB firmware v2, went back up to update 2.7, swapped the eboot and common.sdat file, didnt swap the param.sfo,thght id let MM do it, which it didnt give me option for on load....Anyone else using the BLUS version, or am i flogging dead horse here and only works on BLES?

I guess the Eboot works for both versions,but it seems that Max Payne 3 PS3-VIMTO (Blus Version) has a problem,bad rip or somethig like that.I tried it today and got a black screen,now i'm going to get the Max Payne 3 Duplex (Bles Version) and should be working fine.

MAX PAYNE 3 - VIMTO isnt a proper release. Some files are missing. Duplex release works. Just change the original game PARAM.SFO with the TB one. TB one will prevent the game from forcing the update.
