I could go back to old version but I like the new filemanager so much.
yes, the default is /dev_hdd1/multiMAN.

I have checked the source code (02.08.05) and indeed mmCM is checking the free space in dev_hdd1 before the copy. if the file does not fit, mmCM makes the copy to /dev_hdd0/game/BLES80608/TEMP/multiMAN

However, the code (retry_showtime) is not checking the free space in /dev_hdd0/

Then, my guess is that your internal HDD couldn't have enough free space to cache the MKV

In any case, the tip above should help to solve your issue.

I have more than enough free space in my hard drive (1TB).

Maybe I just stick with the old version for now. I'm too lazy for the extra step to split my MKV's.

Thanks for the help though!

@jukitsu : deank fixed the issue in 04.03.02!!

update from mmCM or here.

Change log:
Code:
04.03.02 -

* http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/8291/mmos16x.jpg
* http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/3306/mmos17x.jpg

- Extended desktop content to 48 icons (6 system and 42 user defined); system icons cannot be moved/renamed/deleted
- Added ability to arrange desktop icons - press L3 over an icon to move it to a free placeholder and then press L3 to place it
- Fixed issue with playing/loading 2GB+ files with Showtime from /net_host or NTFS USB HDD (file wrongly cached to /dev_hdd1 when there isn't enough space there)
- Fixed issue when USB.CFG is not present in USRDIR - now warning is issued when user enables PFS mode
- Fixed loading of last open folders in mmOS - now /pvd_usb* folders from NTFS drives are not reloaded

I like the older version better just because I'm used to it. I run mkv's through showtime some as large as 15GB's. I just created a folder on the root of hdd0 and launch from there.

That would have been a logical solution, but it didn't even crossed my mind.

First post updated with link to 3.99.41.gb785d.dirty.

I noticed that with this version, subtitle outline/shadow is properly applied and there is no need to go to settings to re-confirm the values.

Question no 5.1 audio? only stereo

3.99.41 is great with multiman 4.04.01 but is 5.1 audio available?

playback status is showing:

audio codec: ac3, 48000 hz, 5.1, 640 kb/s

but only stereo is coming out from hdmi or optical, am i missing a setting/option?
