Do I need the Power Button + Ribbon Installed to turn on my PS2 Slim SCPH-77001?
Anyone know anything about PS2(s) and if so Do you know if I need the Power Button + Ribbon installed to turn on my PS2 Silver Slim with the DVD Remote?
I would appreciate any help with this My PS2 is a Playstation 2 Slim Silver Coloured SCPH-77001 Thanks in advance for any feedback / help |

The children board contains: -on/off button -2 colors led -disc tray sensor (is a pressure sensor, like another button) -IR receiver (for remote control) The board and the ribbon cable are cheap replacement parts, not more than 5€ each (cheaper than the shipment costs)... so try to find a shop in your country, or try in "free shipping" pages like dealextreme |

^ all correct, friend of mine had broken his ribbon when cleaning out his console, so he asked me for replacement part, because he no longer could turn it on, or eject disc
