But anyway, yeah I have no problem with accepting one from you or anyone else. |

I'll make this more clear in the next release - it will pop up a message saying exactly that. |

When you have got a Rom loaded, Press R3 to get the in game settings and choose "change libretro core". RetroArch will then restart itself with the new core loaded. If you don't want some of the cores, you could delete them using multiman. They are located in /dev_hdd0/game/SSNE10000/USRDIR/cores/ |

So I guess I'll just add an option to directly launch a core then. And like peteuk said - if you've got a game started, you can press R3 and select 'Change libretro core' - that will do what you want. |

I'm sure it will stop a lot of the confusion.

Bundling all these systems together is great, but I wish there was something new here. Square - any interest in adding systems that haven't been emulated on the ps3 yet?
Specifically - Atari 7800 (Prosystem emu) or Colecovision (Colem)? I have access to the source for my versions of the PSP ports (and the iriginal Windows ports as well) of these if you'd be willing to take a peek at them. |

But nothing's stopping anyone from making a libretro port themselves - it's possible to port that stuff. I provide some documentation on how to make such a port on www.libretro.org, and if anyone needs more info beyond that I'm more than happy to provide it to them. As for myself, I currently have my hands full with upcoming new ports (both platform ports and new libretro ports) - hopefully more people will embrace this multi-platform ideal that we're trying to achieve with libretro and make libretro ports that run on all the platforms that Retro Arch supports. It's also possible to make your own RetroArch implementation for that matter on something like the PSP - it would be very much like how I did the 360 and PS3 ports. The Atari 7800 was after the C64, and was a direct competitor of the NES and SMS. It was released in 1987. It failed because Nintendo locked all the big 3rd party debs into exclusivity contracts, but pretty much every common arcade port the 7800 had was vastly better than the NES or SMS versions.
Bummer. I'm not technically literate enough to port it to the PS3, and was hoping you'd have interest, since it was a contemporary of the systems you've already ported, and especially since it has a very active and deep post-2000 homebrew library/current dev scene on atariage.com that dwarfs all of its original competitors homebrew entries. Most of the homebrew releases are deeper and better than anything the NES or SMS or even C64 ever saw. |
