What I Know So Far

- 3.55 is the furthest firmware jailbreakable
- Any 4.11 jailbreak is most likely a scam
- You need something called E3 flasher to downgrade your PS3
- You can possibly 'brick' your PS3 if you jailbreak it
- You might get a black screen with some CFWs
- I can't go online and might get banned from PSN

What I Would Like to Know

- What is True Blue?
- What exactly is E3 Flasher?
- How many methods are there to downgrade from 4.11 to 3.55?
- What is a dongle?
- Who is GeoHot? And i heard something happened to him?
- Can you do all jailbreaking stuff with just a USB?
- Can i play PS2 games with a jailbroken PS3 or i still need backwards compatibility?
- About how long does it take to use the E3 Flasher method to downgrade?
- How difficult is it to make a firmware jailbreakable?
- Where can i just buy a cheap PS3 already on 3.55 firmware?
- Does PSN force me to update my PS3 to 4.11 if i have 3.55?

Few things i wanna clear up. I would like for you to answers these questions only if you have the time to do it and if you have an extensive knowledge on this kinda stuff. I really don't care whether i'm banned from PSN and aren't allowed to play with others. Yes, i am lazy and i could have probably looked all this up on the forum. Chances are i won't find this all on one thread.. or if someone would like to prove me wrong ? Oh. If this is in wrong section.. than do what you need to do mods.

there is also a 3.56 from demonhades but in my eyes forget about it...

Yes this is possible Waninkoko V1 Jailbrea bricks some PS3´s other firmwares from kmeaw or Rebug is saver but there is a little risk by all of them...

this is also possible like the bricks but i have no problem anyway with rebugs firmware all game -3.55 works fine without problem

you can go online with 3.55 but it is possible sony will kick you ass

It is a USB DRM dongle with this you can play games on 3.55 firmware who needs a higher firmware version like 4.11 they release eboots for it...eboots is like an exe on windows system...

- What exactly is E3 Flasher?

True Blue is an dongle an usb stick or read wiki

geohot is a hacker most famous for his Iphone jailbreaks and he has jailbroken the ps3 3.55 with the info from fail0verflow one year ago...
Sony want sue him for the jailbreak but they unified that geohot never jailbreak a sony console...(correct me if iam wrong)

yes you must be on 3.55 firmware then install with a normal usb fat 32 formated drive the jailbroken one...

no you can´t there is another dongle named COBRA with it, it is possible for most of the games i think it has another features like play psp ust google for it...

- About how long does it take to use the E3 Flasher method to downgrade?
i don´t have one so i don´t know enough about it but you most maybe solder some wire

iam no developer but sony have well secured their console and will sue devs who will jailbreak it...

don´t know just google, ebay or some sites

You can disable autoupdate in system settings and there are also 4.11 Spoofer who trick the ps3 that it thinks it is on 4.11

- If i'm banned from PSN .. what the cons?

yeah you are right but i think if jailbreak consoles would be legal like the phones geohot will hack the ps3 again he said it on an inteview and he has good skills

i know the problem to good. I have also a xbox and i searched on some forums how to flash it or to play homebrew and so one and there are thousand of threads in different forums and some threads are very old so not up to date or you don´t understand them...

and after all its my decision to answer or not
