Not saying theres any truth to this rumor. However, its exactly what they would do. Once your sales drop off and your units arent moving like they were in the beginning, you need to find a way to move more units. Selling a new and improved TB dongle would only piss off the clients you already have. So once your sales fall off, you package a new dongle under a different name to get all your previous clients to buy the new dongle and reap in even more money. Of course you give out 2 previous eboots because theres no loss, no extra work, and offers proof and suckers in all the old and maybe even a few new clients.

Soon people will have more purchased dongles than actual games on their shelves. At least the old games are useful and not dust collectors like the dongle(s).

Also of course you will get the CFW for free. Its no different than TB. You get a free updated CFW but you need the dongle to use the FW.

The downfall as stated is that they have proven you dont NEED the dongle. The dongle is just how they are making their money and preventing anyone from giving their work away for free. If it was like the modchips of old where you NEED the dongle, id be more than willing to buy them. But forcing pointless hardware on people is the real piracy. E3 may be respected but I still dont like the way its being handled and I dont like being at the mercy of their timetable for eboot releases.

If they release tools to fix your own eboots i would reconsider my stance somewhat. Otherwise they can stick their dongle and their slow release of eboots up their pirates booty.

E3 and TB are one in the same even if they weren't affiliated previously, if I made a dongle that does what TB does and began to sell it, the same could be said of me.

I usually read the whole thread, but i did not do this, this time.

I think that they might be releasing the dongle with other features...
Ex. a CFW with plugin features or something, since the decrypting/encrypting of selfs and sprx has gotten pretty far now, well what ever i say might be false.
But i think that we might be getting the eboots for free, and that this Dongle is for something completely different, does not mean that we will not drool for those features!

Either way i will not buy something that can be done with software alone...
Never will, but will buy somethings that brings new hardware to the table.

I did buy an original JB(that broke) and an Amazebreak(that i did not need at all, 2months later) so yes i will buy dongles if needed. But Blue Dildo and likes is ridiculous, lets just end this madness... If E3 is as great as they are trying to show off, lets give them the benefit of the doubt and wait silently for the dongle and Eboots, and if The True Blue team, wants they might do a Uturn and redeem themselves, then maybe we will forgive them....

Ahhh god i hope my coding skillz get better soon, im seeing this great RPG based on the ps3 scene unfolding in my head.... hahahahha

As things are now I´ll take the 2 freebies.
I´m not into Fifa Street but I´ll give NG3 a go.

I´ll withhold judgement on E3 until something concrete is announced.

either way I´m happy that there´s another team that can crack eboots and TB has some direct competition. also the more people that know the way the greater chance of something getting leaked.

I'd insta come (surely twice perhaps triple) if they released an eboot for the Ratchet and Clank HD collection, MGS HD collection and Jak and Daxter HD collection. Never been much of a Fifa guy.......... But, that aint gonna happen. Their proof of concept is out now, so why release more

Now its just about seeing the price.... At least, if its cheap and I cave in, I would prefer paying to these guys over TB. Even IF they potentially are the same guys, then at least I know for SURE that the E3 team side of the company, did make a downgrade tool that helped alot and I'm supporting someone that made that and only potentially TB.

Anyway... Let's observe whats going on in the shadows for now :D
