In my opinion the site is starting to go to ****. Most new traffic is people wanting "4.11 CFW / 4.00 CFW / 3.70 CFW". And almost every single one of them makes a new topic about what they want and tells their life story, then we have to tell them you have to buy a hardware flasher or your model can't be downgraded.

What I'm proposing is:
1. A bigger f***ing banner that unregistered users can see.

2. Clickable links to stickys on the banner. Such as (Downgrading, Jailbraking, CFW, OFW, Reflow and repair, and Selling).

3. New users must read the stickys (Mandatory). And cannot post a new topic until they have been on the sticky pages at least 7 minutes.

4. No topics/posts can be made regarding CFW 3.70 or above. (That is until someone actually finds an exploit and the keys and makes a new CFW).

Thank you for your time. I hope some of what has been said will actually happen. Until then, I will see you guys as soon as I see an interesting post.

I semi agree with this.

I don't think the site has gone to "sh!t", but noobs should have to go through a quick schooling session to get them up to speed and make mods lives easier.

Either way though, noobs/people will always misread, ignore or fail to understand something.

I am all for a new banner, but this forum believes in freedom of speech. While some noobs want cfw, others need help with bricks, etc. Making them run through hoops just to get their help is not a good idea. It will drive more people away.

In the stickys they will be forced to read through. There could be a menu to help them with there problems.
Section 1: Issues/Problems.
Section 2: CFW.
Section 3: Fixing Bricks.
Etc etc.

mmk but you are not a mod, why are you complaining about noobs asking for that kind of help? it's like "plz take this burden off of me" or you spend all your day reading every single topic in here? site it's not going shting, maybe your life is cuz seems you are all day in here. You are not obligated to read them all just read those whose you think are interesting.

Its not the sites fault people are idiots, when these type of threads occur and i shut them or infract the person, i get a torrent of a buse via PM

The banner is clickable and has link to ALL those things.

I have said many times, there should be a mandatory thread to read each time one joins the forum, the problem is, people just click past them anyway.


Some of the people joining posting about 4.11 CFW, are trolls who do so in order to advertise their own sh*tty sites, like that guy Quantum yesterday..

and set the button to only appear after a known valid time for reading the whole page for someone with an IQ of 80-90.


Alternative: let the user run through a survey in which they need to get at least 70% good answers


Eitherway, there are lots of ways to scare away newcomers, e.g. Justin Bieber pictures in the templates or enforced Bayern jodeling as background music for new users in their first month.

i think thats a good idea! if they ask stupid question just throw some warning points at them, 3 times stupid question = time ban!
btw the banner says now about psn on cfw but thats wrong isnt it? and the highest, and arent firmware downgradable until 4.11?

I used to agree that the banner should be updated, but maybe today it would be misleading, as the 3xxxx series cannot be downgraded (and imho the psn access ​​will not last long)
