I seen your thread that you fixed your brick. That's so cool.

It was caused from not having the clip secured. That's why it is so important to make sure the clip is connected good and check your dumps with flowrebuilder and hex editor.
Even when you think you got it on good enough and it makes a dump, it might not be. Can't stress that enough.

Actually getting this error is better, because you know what it is. I bet you wish you would of got this error instead of thinking it was good. Next time might not be so lucky to unbrick.

On ps3devwiki it says sometimes.

Only way to know for sure is to make a dump of the nor.

If your bootldr and metldr are marked "OK" in green in this bootldr/metldr table Then it is possible to downgrade to 3.55 using the manual ps3devwiki method with flowrebuilder and e3 + autopatches
If your bootldr/metldr is marked in red, it is impossible to downgrade.

You can do solderless with e3 flasher to get the dump. You just won't know if you can downgrade until after you get it.

u wont believe it but the first time i restored it spit out aTF cardslot error >>> filename incorrect(bkpps30.bin, i even posted about it..HELP wassup

first warning, but me an a hurry..rush assap renamed the file, there was brick,cement in my head in my brain then and reflashed it back..wohoo it work... nxt morning

but yeah man, with some dumb luck it din't erase important files..unreal but true haha




ps: the samsung update file works fine on all NOR's(macronix,spansion,samsung)

goodluck getting that sucker firm on nor, this small "genius" piece of device won't get us down

now its time to try some solder jobs, its addictive :D

Let's do one thing!! I'm gonna use E3 Linker on this ps3.... When it's done I'll let you know.

Nor clip is ok, I used it on several ps3 after this one with sammy nor...

With E3 Linker it worked flawless.. it is not e3 flasher incompatibility...

But I still keep what I've said about Sammy... my clip works fine on ps3 slim mobos with spansion nor, but i have no ideia why is not working on sammy...

AGGHHH rage i got this **** hell yea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ****ing right !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i did shave down the sides a bit, put a nickel on that *****.... pressed down on the ***** like i was trying to stick in dick in a girl ttight butty hole....afta i put the metal case ova the thing and put it back in the case pressed on it some more.. then went home afta tht... i gt tht ****....

sigh of relief* soo it back up wouldnt back up if i didnt install the samsung update right ?? cause idk if i install that update

Hi i had the same error, so i tryed to take the clip of but when i did that the top came of. I pressed it on again and put the ps3 together again but after that i got the YLOD.

After that i took out the E3 Flasher and after that the PS3 works fine but still i do not know what the problem is? Does anybody had the same problem before?

PS3 will YLOD when you distort flash by clipping it wrong... no mysteries there
