Cfw is always better then Ofw if you ask me :P
And yes, most games aren't playable on 3.55 (games from 2011 and later) you could use a blue buttplug called TrueBlue :P or just wait until the golden day has arrived.

So whats your priority ? do you want to play the latest games, or do you want some Homebrew fun.

Whilst that is true, just think of a) all the PS3 games that can run perfectly under 3.55 and b) all the things you can do with your PS3 that you can't do on OFW.

If you can afford it you should get two PS3s, one for OFW and one for CFW or if you're good with soldering etc./know someone that is, then do as @euss suggested and dual-boot your current PS3.

you can start finishing the older games that you can download from the net , when u finish start thinking of the newer games hoping that someone from the scene have a breakthrough

Does someone offer a service to upgrade to a dual-boot addon ? That is my biggest worry on my system, I will run out buy a newly released game and I can't play it due to no hack available for it yet.
