The game is downloaded (atax release which i think has a modified .eboot, hence the issue) as I sold my GT5 after I stopped playing.
Ok so the param.sfo that I have already shows BCES00569 which is the eur version so i assume thats ok?
I have deleted game data, and i already downloaded the updates to 1.09 previously but never installed them as I was attempting to get the game to work on 1.0 first.
So im going to overwrite the atax release .eboot with your one using ftp, as far as im aware that should work, pretty sure i've just done that in the past hence my confusion this time lol.

EDIT: I just copied over your eboot this time and it worked fine, going to install the updates now, why wasnt it this simple first time lol.

Quick update, i updated to 1.09 and im just getting a blackscreen after it shows polyDigital at the start. Deleted the save game file, made no difference, so I just deleted the game data and it worked again.
Don't want to play incase i have to delete my save again :/
What is even in the updates, anything thats really worth installing them for?
Could maybe just update to 1.05 or .06 as they are the biggest files.

Update to 1.09. If save data doesnt work with save data unlocker, use rebug 3.55.2
In rebug, you have Fake Savedata Owner. You can try to load savegame with this enabled if savegame unlocker doesnt work

Thanks, the savadata is more of a secondary issue at the moment though, when i update to 1.09 i just get a black screen after the initial polyDigital etc logos and can't play the game.
Do you know what would cuase that?

The savegame causes that. After polyphony logo, the game loads the save. In my ps3, appears "Loading save..." in right-bottom of the screen. If you have bad save, game freezes. Try to make a new test account in your ps3 and launch game in that accout. If it boots, savegame is bad. If it freezes, patch is bad. Delete game data from ps3, lauch game normally and go to options, file manager, pre-insall game files. When it finishes, install patches in order, or else it wont work. YOU CANT CHANGE PATCH INSTALL ORDER!!!

p.s- I dont remember well the options menu game, because my game is in portuguese, not in english, so i dont know how the translation is made in gt5

Cleared the data, done the pre-Install game files, installed the first patch (1.05) before even trying the other patches, and same thing again, freezing at the polyphony sign, tried it on another user account, same thing, so theres some issue with the patch it seems, i had actually downloaded those patches from the exact same place you posted, think im just going to play it at 1.0 as it doesnt make a massive difference to the game anyway.
