If he want donations, well he can ask for a dongle in particular or something instead of money.

I think you missed the point Annelies made.
Its not about donations, its that being insulted is worse than getting nothing.

I get insulted often for free, every time i frontpage something.
Next time i will post a paypal account so *all of you* can pay me or not for the *work* i do even being insulted,bashed, etc. (SIC)

Excuse me, every piece of news that i write comes from my brain, i do not copy from other people, all the work that i post is exclusive to my brain cells.

Also, people are getting killed in Syria, the news reports the Syrian Army's 'work', the people that are reporting that news get paid, that is no different that me.

Anyhow that being said, i would never ask for donations as i don't do this to get paid, i do it to bring people proper news, news that they wont get on any other site.

I (from my part) used the example of the paypal account (anyone can have one) and get *paid* for doing something that's it's free and then ***** about not getting good results or feedback.

So according to your line of *tought* a Journalist or indeed a newswriter for a magazine/newspaper/site/etc has to work for *free* even if the news are NOT from his/her braincells?.
It's clear we are doing some serious effort with no cash involved in it (here in Hax). And you mention psx-scene where the contests are being held so long ago. Giving a price tag to the most creative *dev*.

If the donglecrasher/cracker now it's thirsty on e-fame and was trolled, well im a newsposter and a mod not a shrink.

@GregoryRasputin you forgot that you are a mod too, so you post news and moderate at the same time.

The whole meaning of the EXAMPLE or a mod asking donations (not bad example at all) it's WE do this as you manage @euss the ps3devwiki because we WANT TO and we (im using plural here) don't expect NOTHING in exchange.

The same go for the devs, i doubt they work with a dongle because they don't want to deal with it. They work with a dongle or piece of code because they LIKE what they do, otherwise they will stay away.
But expecting something like money from other users, because of your *performance* or *good job* or *job done*, it's the perfect allibi to generalize and remark a cliche example. = *the most important devs *escaped* the scene because of null feedback and insulting posture of some of the users on the forums*.
