Downgrade 4.11 CECH-3001A ? Clarification Needed Please
Hello,
I just recently purchased a used CECH-3001A. According to the chart located on this page (http://www.ps3devwiki.com/wiki/SKU_Models#PS3_Slim) it says that my "downgradable min praxis" is 3.6 . . . but when I look up the date code the "1A" portion of the model number I am assuming it says that it can sometimes be downgraded to 3.55. Could someone please help to clarify this for me? Thank You In Advance! |

You're reading the chart right...your PS3 can't be downgraded at all and if it could you can't get to the magic 3.55FW.
Sorry. Take it back and get your money and look into buying a used one that can be downgraded according to that list. I would suggest looking in pawn shops. You might find one already at or below 3.55. Good Luck.

it is easy to know it-test it: 1. using minvercheck PUP (if it says 350 then its downgrade-able to 355, if it says 356 then its NON-downgrade-able !) 2. see here and extract your dump with flowrebuilder and then open bootloader_0 with HxD (CTRL +A) if bootldr size shows 2F570 its downgrade-able, if size are 2F5F0 its NON-downgrade-able! hope its clear now how to read and check it too. ![]() if you like to get live help, join the chat ps3downgrade or chat ps3downgrade use better this for chat channels Last edited by alex-07; 06-22-2012 at 12:40 AM. |

It match's the box and the sticker on the ps3 (CECH-2501A 160GB Slim PS3) it's not 30 or over. I used the Firmware checker .PUP thing that Alex gave me and it said 3.40 or later. Also it's been jailbreaked before on 3.55 . Unless you mean something like downgrading and jailbreaking, please inform me with anything else I need to know. And thank you and everyone who's helped me on PS3hax.net the community here is very helpful and responsive.

The 200X models are all downgradeable. It is the 250X models that vary. Some of them were made before 3.56, and some made after. You see that huge banner at the top of the forums? Go there, click it. You WILL need a hardware flasher.
