Hey all. I've been creeping on this site for the last week or so and posting some questions (and even a suggestion or two). I figured I should introduce myself since I come to this page more often now than my email or even Facebook. lol.

I am in Oklahoma and have done repairs on multiple PS3s (phat) of my own and really know my way around them pretty well. I now have a slim model because I got tired of dealing with the YLOD and just wanted to play my games. Is that so much to ask?

I am about to buy another phat however, so I can mod it. Also have a 360 already taken apart and awaiting parts for modding. Those should be here sometime this week.

Speaking of 360s, I also have a slim model of that for my regular gaming.

I would hate to call myself a PS3 fanboy, but I much prefer it over the 360. If a game I want were to come out on multiple platforms, I am much more inclined to buy it for PS3.

Um... Yeah, thats me. Any other questions for me or if you just want to introduce yourself too, let me know! I am happy to be here and observing everyone's techniques!

Based on what I have seen this week, I would completely agree. Thank you both for the warm welcome. I have been to ps3crush or whatever that one is once. lol. Seemed like a straight rip off of this one to be honest. The exact same stories on the news page with the same pictures and same text. (unless maybe we're both getting it from elsewhere). But either way, Just from this week I know the people here are awesome and very helpful so I will stick around for a while. :-)

Thanks @TizzyT . Its great to see vets like you guys looking at noobs' intros and welcoming people. I know a lot of other sites where the senior users are in their own clique and rarely talk to new people just introducing themselves.

Oh and I just realized I now have a level bar! That's exciting. lol. Didn't have one when I started this thread. What is that based on? Basically just quantity and frequency of posts and like, thanks, mentions, etc?

I figure it is determined by post count but I'm not certain. If you didn't already know you can check your other stats by going to UserCP, Your Profile, Statistics. Another way is to click on your avatar and select "view public profile". Lol I'm sure there are people here who are like how you mentioned but there are also the many that will help when asked .

Click on UserCP, on the left hand side there should be a "Edit Avatar" option.
And sorry I didnt mean click your avatar but click on your username above your avatar. If you have any further questions just ask .
