True Blue CFW 3.55 dongle v2.7 confirmed working on dual boot OFW 4.11

Hey guys just thought I would write and say that I have successfully managed to get True Blue v2.7 CFW 3.55v2 and OFW 4.11 dual booting on the E3 Flasher. Don't ask me how at the present moment because I spent 6hrs through trial and error. I used the OFW 3.41 downgrade pkg off E3 to downgrade both CFW and OFW. I did learn that you have to get your OFW to 4.11 through the XMB update. I had all the switches except #4 down when I performed the update from OFW 3.41 to 4.11. I then booted into CFW TB 3.55v2 and reinstalled it through the XMB as well. I also did not press start on the E3 flaser after reupdating the FW's through XMB. After that I installed the latest dongle updater v2.7. Ran the updater and VIOLA!!! I kept loosing the dual boot and would have to reupdate or install one or the other firmwares. Again as I did so many different things trying to get it to work I am really not sure how I did it at this time. I will try to come up with a guide for those interested. I also learned that when you press start on the E3 to flash you will loose the TB support if installing any other firmware that is not TB 3.55v2. I think the solution lies in the placement of the switches on the E3 Flasher. Good luck to all and I hope someone finds this info useful.

Info isn't overly helpful if you have no recollection of how you achieved it.

Well guys I did write a tutorial. The only thing is I wrote it directly on here and I was logged out before it was able to be submitted. It has taken me several hours to write this dang thing. Guess I learned my lesson and will write it in word and paste in next time. For now I have to go, been at this for like 16hrs now. Later

I wouldnt Believe this for a second i have tried many times using many different methods to get TBCFW V2 and OFW 4.11 to Dual Boot with absolutly no success. Dual boot is only possible while using TBCFW V1 which is not compatible with dongle update 2.7, dual boot is also possible when using some other CFW which are not compatible with the true blue dongle.

you try this:
2x times on recovery on CFW-MODE installing the TBCFW V2

here both working
OFW-Mode 4.20
CFW-Mode 3.55 TB CFW

Correction dual boot is not copatible with v1 as it does not have the 'no check' patches only v2 would be compatible because of these patches because the SYSCON still reads version of the higher FW

I can confirm its possible, i have a 120gb slim ps3 and had the same problem you had. The OFW mode (switch 2 down) with 4.2 wouldn't coexist with a working (green light) install of TB in CFW mode (switch 2 up). if i reinstalled 4.2 the TB dongle wouldnt go green. If I reinstalled TBCFW 3.55v2 upon switching to OFW mode it would ask me to reinstall.

The folks at electrolado came up with a counter intuitive solution which worked for me. You'd install TBCFW 3.55v2 on both CFW and OFW modes BUT you'd then upgrade the CFW bios (switch 2 up) to 4.2 instead of the OFW (switch 2 down). Weird I know, but it works. Could it be an issue for a small number of us with a certain model of ps3 and e3?

Some french folks also have this working but their tut didn't work for me. Theres a video at the bottom of the page showing them switching between 4.2 and TB with the dongle turning green.

So don't lose hope
