Now if I am buying a license when I buy a game or cd or dvd, then why dont they replace it when it gets scratched or broken?! When an ISP leases you a router and it breaks they replace it, why not with our CDs?!

Also dont forget that when it comes to piracy, record labels are the biggest pirates of all! They add songs to albums, then make IOUs to the artists then file them away and never pay the artists!
So when it comes to pirates, who's worse? These gamers who download games to play not making a penny, or the labels who copy music then sell to everyone making huge profits!

because with a cd, its your fault its broken. you suck at taking care of it. your isp wont replace your modem because you got drunk and barfed on it, they only replace it when its defective or their system caused it to break (if you know enough to prove that) and thats only if its rented.

Well... the only way for TB to sell a new dongle (to the same consumers) is to add new features, and it needs to be something good, is not enought with running the last games (something that more or less... is a feature his consumers have actually)
Imagine... what can you add ? the list is not too long, in this order of importance: cobra, dual boot, otheros, ps3usercheat... (or something new?... probably dont)

The new TB custom firmware... for me seems obvious is based in 3.55 (probably with added features appart of the security)
Simply... if they release a 4.20 cfw... there are not needed "cracked" eboots... all the games will work natively
Without eboot, they dont have nothing to "hook" you, also if all the stuff is done in the firmware there is a risk of somebody reverse engineering the firm functions that does the magic


So in resume... TB is preparing to "cannibalize" his competitors

And no, i dont believe they are the same manufacturers, also the "an0n" in the interview doesnt says the manufacturers are the same... he says the people behind them are... in other words, the methods/exploits comes from the same sources... and this probably is the reason they are going to cannibalize themselfs, because probably there is no way to keep all this in secret for much more time

Business in general is not really morally bound so to speak. Most business's will at some point compromise in order to make a buck, these guys operate in countries that have very little business ethics in place or copyright laws. Is it no surprise they are all in it for the money and that some things like a new dongle are really just nothing but the same thing with new paint. Maybe they make another company and compete against themselves even tho its the same people.

Shopping centres in western worlds have adopted this strategy long ago to give ILLUSIONS of choice to consumers, the concept is to corner people into buying, making them think they have a choice normally increases the likelihood of them spending their money.

Business is not ethics or morals, its BUSINESS. Welcome to the real world.

The bad part of this... is dumb to invert money in a new design/implementation and not to protect it with something secure (something new or unknown that has not been hacked before)
Actually... knowing there are a couple of clones of TB, and the announce of E3 clone... the new TB security needs to "reinvent" the whell (or a new DRM whell) so the scene will have to face a new obstacle

I think i get it. All the evil came from people wanting and wanting and when that demand got to big to want it eventually happend. It happend in two ways a good way and a evil way. The evil way came first which meant more people joined that evil way. The more evil it got the harder it was for the good people. Eventually most of the good people fell into the hands of the evil. But the evil people changed without the fallen people knowing. All those evil people took over the people who wanted to join the evil side and they where forced into being evil by basicly selling them selves. Some of these evil people eventually wanted to leave but couldn't. So all the evil people who wanted to leave formed a anonymous pack. This anonymous pack wants to destroy all the evil and thats where this article comes in play. In this article in my mind is telling me there is good can come from evil. The people who wanted to leave now are in the phase of DESTROYING and will do it slowly at first and eventualy release everything. What this means to me is that there basicly going to give us all the information to free themselves and this is the only way to do it. This whole post i just said probally won't make any sense to any of you. You can all go ahead and call me a dumb ass and stupid but I don't care cause unlike most of you reading the article I know what this means. And what this means is huge scene.
