Hey guys,

Just wondering if it is a Good time to downgrade to 3.55 or will there be a new dongle or something similar coming sometime in the near future. I know there is no possible way to know when a cfw will be on the newest firmware. But there is a new dongle coming in july and does anybody have any thoughts about the future of ps3 hacking.

The dongle is from tb so go ahead a buy one

no its not a good time. Team E3 or trueblue may announce something soon so just wait till july 20th

Don't you think TB might release what E3 was planning on doing with the new cfw?

The new dongles coming out will most likely only work on 3.55. I guess we won't know for sure until there is more info released about them. But that is what I believe from what we have heard about them so far.

As others have pointed out, just wait until the 20th as it's not that far away and whatever they announce will have a big impact on the direction the scene will be taking for the forseeable future.

I hope it's an exploit for a FW higher than 3.55 but I doubt it very much.

TB is built around making eboots work on 3.56+ so I highly doubt that they would release a custom firmware higher than 3.55 because then they wouldn't be built around what their main objective was and they would loose money on this due to the fact that they wouldn't be making eboots.

Do what you would enjoy, Whether you play on psn or not. If you want to rip your games then go downgrade, If you want forever psn then update.
Its a personal choice, I'm only on 4.2 or whatever update so i can play bf3 and gt5 online with work mates.

I enjoyed cfw, But my ps3 managed to build up dust. And this was a year on cfw knowing work mates play online, When i updated it has been played on religiously =P.
