Dual-Layer functionality on the Wii has always been sketchy at best, maybe you could try cleaning the lens? or if your a bit more adventuress, adjusting the POT. ?

I cleaned the lens about a week ago and I did it again just to humor you. The thing is I've never had any problems prior to this. The dual layer discs played flawless. They were burned at the correct speed on verbatim. Whatever the problem is I've got it narrowed down to keeping my installers not working. It's saying not able access nand. Not being able to play dual layer. And not being able to play from external. I can play from flash but not external. I could do all this prior. I also have to use the new Priiloader. I am no longer able to use my old one. I should also add that wiiflow doesn't work either.

I'm sure this is something that could probably be sorted out pretty quickly if you asked over at GBAtemp.

Possibly when you updated you stubbed all your ios's (I think that's the term)

I'm 99% sure it's ur lazer that's going out.

What I would do is: get hold of syscheck and post me your log file in a spoiler., I'm guessing you just need to use modmii to download cios d2x v9 249 as iOS56 and 250 as iOS57 and an untouched ios58 just incase. Installing these will not harm your wii and should fix most issues. Btw make sure you use wiiflow mod r506 or higher as old versions of wiiflow won't work on newer cios.

Priiloader v0.7 is the best version to use by far. No issues here.

See I use pimp my wii all the time and updates and checks for newer iOS , and I've no problem with it all , not had a problem (touch wood) with thing on my wii apart from that dios mios to start with . Mario sunshine I can't get working though it's really pissing me off .

You both could be right. It's just that my wii is playing every burned disck I have except dual layered. It's playing gamecube and 4.7 gig wii. I'm going to follow all your steps and maybe then post to wiihacks since i have an account there. I don't have one at gba temp so I'll create on if I don't get an answer. I know how to run syscheck as I've done it already but I don't know how to send it to you?

It's because I though his problem was to run burned GC games, not Wii burned games.

Okay then. Last one I'll send you for the meantime. The only one I'm having trouble finding on modmii is d2x v9 249 as iOS56. The only ones I'm seeing is d2x rev 8. I uploaded the report. 4 stubbed ios.

@Wolfterro my problem was both. I've resolved it by reinstalling all the wads. Now my problem is now down to what I've listed in above post.
