Yes, if they were a hacking group or standalone person, then I would cry over the fact that they decided to charge for it..

However, they are a business currently most of all. They most likely live of it. And if we look at their previous main product that would be a flasher, to downgrade PS3's down to FW 3.55, so they can run custom firmware on their PS3.
What would happen if they released the keys/a higher version firmware without DRM? No one would ever buy their old product, and their new one is free.

Sad as it ****ing is, because I would really love to know both how they found that key and utilize it for whatever fun I can and see the scene progress, its obvious for their sake that it would not happen, especially if it is true and that this solution will eventually work on higher version firmwares.

Instead of looking at them from the perspectives of a hackergroup/developers, lets looks at them from the perspective of a business, because hackersgroups are vastly different in that they work by some totally other ideals. Ideas which pushes them far away from this(in a good direction I might add).

If we look at them from the view of a company, I actually like them. I like them a lot better than TB, alot. Even if TB and E3 is one and the same, which I tbh don't give a **** if they are, I would still like the better direction they have taken as a company. At least, they are giving something free in the name of E3, while TB would butt**** all their customers over now, by discontinuing their product for security reasons, so that they can make a new one and earn alot more money, even off those people that bought the previous dongle.

So E3 is claiming their dongle will work with higher firmware versions then what the current CFW crowd is stuck at. That would be a first for the general public. When I read it was compatible with all PS3 games my eyes lit up a little, but then dried out when I saw it will require some sort of patches [guessing].

Ya know, if anyone thought that a modification related company was going to give it's work away for free you were being delusional. I know, it sucks. I'm at 4.20 (funky number ^^) and a nice free CFW would be groovy, but that's not happening. So instead of barking at E3 for not providing gravy on those mashed potatoes why not go and start making your own eboots!

Get together! Learn! Make something!
