My first guess was that it is due to some type of on disc dlc crap. When you first enter an npc tells you that cards are dlc only. Maybe the whole casino was at one time meant to be dlc only.

Okay, finally got the NRP & the 36 files.

It seems to work at my friend's PS3. (3.55)

I connected the same external drive; it freezes at my PS3 (3.41), right after you load/ create the first save file.

I wonder what the problem might be?
Perhaps the fix doesn't work with 3.41?
Maybe I need a fixed param.sfo? (I just used Multiman to patch the param.sfo)

You need to replace the 4 SPRX fix, from post #191 and #187.

I had the same freeze on 3.41 before replacing the SPRX fix.

ok, im really confused now.
All I wanna do is to play FF XIII-2 undub , with jap voice actor and english subs.
I am downloading asian version-nrp repack now, and btw I am using True blue dongle.
Will it works like normal, or do I have to download some files from those chinese sites? do they have tb fix for this? because i looked at truebluejb2.com site, and they seems didnt have the fix for asian version.
I googled everywhere and it seems not many people talking about this , even in ps3iso.com people seems clueless about this issue.

My brother is playing the game and he is inside the casino now

in the beginning it was locked but he is halfway the game (serendipity at ??? AF) now and he got a (second) casino card and it wasn't locked anymore ...

Edit: 2 crashes already on chocobo races and slot games

yeah, we meant we cannot play in it due to crashes. you can still go in and get your fragment skills. for casino money you'll just have to spend 10 times the gil haha
there's a fragment skill that lowers the buying price of all the items by 25%.
