the best things come to those who wait....its been a year of stress and frustration for us cfw owners ...and now there is light at the end of the tunnel... i knew the devs had kept us in the dark...wait a couple of weeks and hopefully some nice dev will produce a nice pkg to help the not so gifted amonst us...and hears to playing dead island real real soon.

You'll have to go digging for debug eboots though if you intend on playing anything that is not a retail game on your debug PS3. And those are not easily found.

I don't think end-users will get much use out of it - for devs it's a totally different story though.

Per say this method has been known by developers and now shared due to their distaste in warez then one should weigh the amount of pirating the Dongles allow and the amount this supposed method would allow. I highly doubt their only motivation was to keep the Dongles in business (I'm speaking of dev's not involved in that and other Dongle projects). Keeping the Dongles around could of merely been a side effect of not sharing how to run unsigned code on higher firmwares. Due to being stuck on 3.55 and relying on Dongles to play a limited amount of games (or not playing them at all) if this DEX thing works out there will be a surge in piracy like none has seen before - something that ethical hackers don't want to be a part of. Of course, like you're comment my statement is pure speculation in response to your's.

ps - I read the bit about needing special eboots per each game so maybe that will change or maybe people will be playing less games then Dongles offer.

ps2 - I also realized that you jump in the thread and attack developers with a wild assumption they were keeping this in the dark due to the fact they want the Dongles around. Do you realize that your short jab at the dongle including insulting developers for no reason and without proof? That's not nice dude.

I'm actually moving to Australia soon so you can use mine...so long as you promise not to break it.
I was hoping the same thing. I don't really care about new games so much as I would like to play ps2 backups and get some better emulators. Internet radio would be nice.
