What DVD burning software should I use

I need to know a program thats fast on burning any format (avi,mpeg,etc..to dvd) I want a fast program that converts the main file to a better quality dvd so i can watch it on my ps3. Currently im using Super DVD creator 9.30, its good and everything..it converts the main file to dvd format and improves the quality, but the thing is its slow. It takes about 30-40 minutes to convert. Burning is ok. About 5 minutes. If you guys know a program that is great with converting speeds and converting to high quality dvds fast, then can you help me out and tell me. Thanks guys.

convert X to DVD is really good. you just drag the .avi file into the program and click convert and it goes.

Reencoding those formats to vob has taken a long time with every soft ive tried. and ive tried like 6 different programs.

good luck to you in your search but the 30 2 40 min you have stated seems fast to some hours ive spent converting some 1 1/2 hr vids.

What are you using now?

I agree 30 to 40 mins is rather quick, are these full films? I'd suggest TMPGEnc to convert any video file to dvd and I'd suggest nero to burn the files. however i dought you'd be able to drop your times really as i've never managed to encode a movie less than 1.5 hours

I usually get conversions done with WinAVI to DVD within 15 minutes. I have a rather powerful computer with 4GB ram as such but it doesnt seem to take up much CPU. Average size movie is 700mb.

i used winavi before and found it rather fast but it seemed to be problematic for me. (for example the conversion would make the audio go out of sync for some reason). I use convertxtodvd its got decent speed on converting but have never had a problem wit audio or anything and its simple to use =]

That is true ajw7989, it does have skips sometimes and when you're burning you really wanna burn lower than usual.
