My very rare console from Japan...

Just thought I'd share something cool that I have collected and since this console looks incredibly sleek in this colour.

Just a little backstory, according to Sega there were only 100 of these Dreamcasts ever made (though some unofficial sources say 200, regardless it's quite rare!) so they're very hard to find but I managed to get mine in mint condition and with the box, instructions, cables etc...

These were not available in stores and were only available in Japan upon acquiring a crap-load of "Dream-points", similar to what you get now with Nintendo games for the Nintendo club. Once you had enough points you would then get them verified via a Sega-run website then if you were lucky after all that to be winning a lottery with other people who had done the same thing, you would then send off some money (nearly £200/$350) and then you would be a lucky owner of one.

Introducing my Limited Edition Sega Dreamcast Black Version!

Also for those getting confused, this is the other more common black version that most will be familiar with:

These sold over 10,000 in the US so are quite common unlike the above.

I love the PS2 even to this day but (even along with disc read errors lol) the only thing I do not like about it is the fact that it helped to significantly cripple the Dreamcast leading to it's ultimate demise which in my opinion was the most underrated yet one of the best consoles of all time.

Long live the Dreamcast!

Peace.

Sweet! I love rare consoles. I still play my Dreamcast to this day. You're way right about the ps2 causing their demise. I'm pretty sure that was $ony's intention. Wait for the release and then release something even more powerful. The DVD support is really what crushed it. I'd really like to get my hands on a N64DD.

Damn, That's pretty much the reason it's going into storage as I know I'll have a dumb-dumb moment one day and screw somethng up with the transformer and then BANG! lol
