Just because you are not able to create it on your own. In the XBOX scene all PCBs are available. You could create it on your own. The infos are all public. In the ps3 scene YOU HAVE TO PAY. In the Xbox scene YOU CAN PAY IF YOU ARE A NOOB.

You're logic left out the reasoning behind the xbox 360 comparisons while you take a shot at PS3 Developers for not giving the methods behind their products out for free. While your opinion might be that you're getting "ripped off by devs" it doesn't fit into your list as since you do not control the actions of PS3 developers you cannot state you're being ripped off as hardware is not always necessarily required for hacking box 360's.

It's what you think is happening even if your technical opinion differs.

I think someone has created a product and/or service and they are trying to hold onto their methods to sell a product which in the case of the Dongles is needed by their methods (maybe not for all methods, but their methods do), but a free ride is currently out of the question due to the fact these developers are selling their work. So spending money is required regardless if you think it's fair/just/ethical/right/wrong.

Call it what you will, but if you do not like that certain PS3 developers aren't giving away their methods for free (which they will do whatever they want with due to the fact they have the methods and the public doesn't) then by all means Sir, why not develop you're own free method and when someone offers you $30,000 USD for that method just tell them you're in it to share knowledge for free and to shove their $30,000 USD up their arse!
