Sorry for being a N00b but if we use this method, change or cex to dex, then update to dex 4.21, I understand then that we could use the system update to go back to dex 3.55 but can we then also go back to CFW/ofw 3.55 without the use of hardware or once you go dex can you not go back to cex?

I think downgrading to the stock 3.55 is before flashing a CFW is just good practice. I don't know why some peeps are in such a rush, but you are right, it needed mentioning.... you probably saved a few PS3s

Who do you mean by High Lords? Obviously the people that deal with TB and other suppositories won't do anything.... HOWEVER, I'm wondering what the devs that claimed to be withholding stuff so as not to help piracy think of this development? Not really expecting anything from anyone, Hell I'm surprised enough this made it out.

Still if I can have access to homebrew on the latest f/w, then backups aren't really important.

I have a PS3 with cfw 3.55.
My PS3 came with "gran turismo 5", only orginal disc game I have.
So, can I finally play grand turismo spec II update (fw 3.60+) and continue play back up games? Thank you

@malex well let' see you had Evilsperm come out and threatening to ban people over at crunch, You have a few dev's say happy bricking. It seems to me most of the known dev's are pissed this is out. I was only calling them High Lords because they sure as **** like to think of themselves that way. We are Ants to most of them, As long as they get the cool stuff we can have the left overs and pay for it. Another point about my comment of Lords of High, Besides that you have some dev's come out and say well He/She is looking in the wrong place for what you want, Then why in the **** haven't you done it yet? How can you know where something is if you haven't done it yourself? and if you did proof? I understand everyone has the own thoughts about this scene, But until yesterday it seemed hopeless but atleast there is some light. As for people saying it shouldn't have came out? Well with that thought why don't we all up grade to OFW 4.20 and pretend 3.55CFW never came out so we can get the dev's more time to get it right.

I've read this thread, and half of the other (Sorry, I got tired when the shi*t storm started), normally I don't like to ask questions if I can search the answers myself, but, having pocket on a noob friendly day, I just can't resist XD

Considering what we have RIGHT NOW, there's no way to implement the conversion on the 3k series, right ?

If I update from 3.55 CFW CEX, to 4.20 OFW DEX, I'll still be able to play all my 3.55 and prior backups, plus, all my originals from BD, right ?
