I've noticed they've actually released a kit to convert from cex to dex. Any takers? I've also seen mention that it was Mathieulh who released the CEX-DEX method to Durandal without permission lol.

Thank you (no sarcasm intended), and you have just with your own words hit the nail on the head. Facts are that good or bad, the dev scene Has kept things under the carpet and behind closed doors, so sorry, but in situations like this, the lowest common denominator is always used and that Is the bad side of it. If you do not like it then change it and become one of the ones who does not huddle in darkened corners whilst laughing at the 'underlings' |

I don't dare assume the reasoning behind each group or even single individuals who hack the PS3 not sharing all they find with the entire scene, but that is their privilege and if you do not like it then tuff smackaroos. I have seem to come to find a bunch of people who think they are entitled to anything and everything regardless of the time, code, techniques, hacks or money developers have contributed to the scene (public or not). What I seem to see is ungrateful spoiled brats that can do nothing more then post a quickly edited photo of something or curse at developers for not giving them a free ride on the highway to free games. Let's look at DeanK. He's a developer who has shared with the scene something that is on almost every CFW PS3. Multiman is used by thousands of people, yet when a fork is released for Dongle's only suddenly he's a "trader" and is cursed upon. People are forgetting that the fork takes advantage of the Cobra Dongle so without the Dongle there would be no extra functionality, but he's still a trader. He's even a trader when he releases a new revised version to the public. So if you think he's "one of them" and you dislike him then get rid of Multiman on you PS3. Simple. Problem solved. I personally think that DeanK deserves some cash (if he's making any as no one knows what deal he's made with Cobra). It's his software and he can do what he pleases with it. That can be applied to any developer regardless if they used a stolen SDK/free SDK made with stolen code from the stolen SDK with free information out there. Jump back to the groups of developers; some are in it for money, some just for fun, but we as a collective have ZERO say in what they do with their work regardless of the moral and ethical excuses from the same people that seem to change on a per situation basis to suite their own personal greed. It's simple. If you don't like it and it cost money don't buy it. Even more simple if it's free then just don't use it. If you're not "in" with a group of developers then setup an environment and start from the bottom and work your way up. When you complain that others aren't giving you free stuff or sharing what they've spent much time on to you for free then you're only making yourself look like you're a greedy, no good little spoiled brat that needs a spanking.
