Even if he is part of TB, he gave enough to allow him to make money in my opinion. I still hold to my belief that the 'devs' are the ones who are stopping TB from being cracked, so the blame lays on them. Enough evidence has been given in the last few hours to categorically prove that the 'devs' have been lying for months on end about what is and is not possible, so who can really blame someone who gave more than a wee bit for cashing in on a fast buck when others around them are as corrupt as hell? Ps I am using the word 'devs' as a general blanket term, not to mean every single one of them lol |

![]() Well there is more choice now in the PSP scene, back when DA left I stayed loyal to their Firm. I didn't want stolen work with another name running my PSP ![]() The good ol' days, DA, Fanjita.... I still can remember the fake firmware that was released that bricked a lot of PSPs. And around that same moment the guys from Noobz.eu got some goodies from someone who's PSP got returned from fixing and they left the a MMS inside of it, dude did send the Memorycard to the Noobz. And soon the Pandora was born... But ok, I am getting pretty offtopic here ![]() Ontopic Well, I think it's not only about the money... some is triggered by Emobot (read: GeoHot) who was showing is E-penis everywhere. I guess some Dev's thought Emobot / Egobot was cool and they want the same. They want to rap too you know !

I've been thinking about this release all day, and started wondering how groups like TB would exploit this. And I'm wondering if this theory would be possible. Debug consoles are able to run retail discs right? and they are able to run fake signed code.
Now here comes my question; wouldn't it be possible to make a HB that stays in memory and waits for an eboot (the one on the official disc) to be loaded and decrypted, and then dumps the decrypted eboot from memory? Once you have the decrypted eboot you could sign it for 3.55. That could keep the network option open on 3.55... but it does however need good Samaritans to dump the eboots from retail discs. I got a feeling thats what TB is doing now... I doubt they are using debug eboots, those arn't always identical to the retail ones. |

its also that it isnt like iPhone Scene where Cydia sets new features that get copied by apple, i mean most of the people dont jailbreak for homebrew, the make it for warez, me too^^ the most devs who was in the scene was because of linux, little kids scream there names like: cfw 3.60+ you bastard NOW cmon wheres cfw? i need this NOWW!!!1111oneoneeleven!!!!111 so i dont blame them for milking the kids :D anywhore with the removal of linux alot of good people left its just if you are a good hacker like i0n1c who has pwned iOS or musclenerd who make several baseband exploits, your value in the IT-Industrie is rysing skyrocket, stefan esser aka i0n1c says he has a bootband exploit to unlock all iphones but will not release it because he can sell it maybee, thes guys have to get money like you and me and if they can find something like a jailbreak for big devices like this, its theyre thing, they found it... normally if an exploit is found there is someone how try to understand it and make it happend themself and soon get public! if something is non public, then only if it has value for everyone who is in possesion of it and they dont want others to get it for whatever reason there might be i will read fortune: maybee with this it is possible to get everythin anybody needs like new cfw 4.21 BUT it just dont gonne happen because the ps3 scene has of today not one who would be able to do this, just in regards of skills (maybe one or two, but the are scared of sony, or making stuff for drm-stuff)

Ironically, I actually deliver the goods on stuff I do - unlike your little buddies. https://github.com/CrashSerious/PS3R...ource/ps3gui.c You get a prize if you can tell me how many memory leaks are in this one single file. That sums up the 'coding prowess' of you guys. Last edited by Squarepusher2; 07-09-2012 at 05:13 PM. |

It states : For those interested in the background of this PS3 CEX to DEX method, some leaked IRC logs appear to reveal that initially Mathieulh gave it to Durandal without permission from Sony PlayStation 3 hacker RichDevX. |
