i tried that today... (Have a 3.55 CFW build from 3.55 OFW with mfw 0.21 / only the options you really need are used..)

in the update process the ps3 freezes... waiting 5 minutes then turn off.. then on.. and thats it.. the PS3 shows the background, no sound and freezes...

thank god that the recovery menu still worked.. flasing back and all is good..

tried that 2 times everytime same freezes...

so try at your own RISK...

Why on earth would I install this HFW on my 3.41 hermes-rebug console ? it is of no use. Just bring out a PUP tha let me downgrade 4.x and I'll be very gratefull and call it usefull

Just to clarify, tested myself on CECHE01 / TB CFW 3.55 v2 and it works (using Normal CFW option), it take some long minutes if you're using the PKG installer. Just chill out and wait while it installs, could take more than 5mins.

The first time I tried it, I thought it froze too, and I had to reinstall the CFW since I didn't let it finish, corrupting the specified files.

Second time I just let it running for some long minutes and it worked fine, there is NO risk of bricking your PS3, since XMBM+ doesn't touch critical 'dev_flash' files. It is clearly mentioned on the documentation.

thnx for your testing story... really wanna clear out that this could happen but you dont have to panic around cause it is fixable...

will test again if its 1.0 releases without RC-State...
and will wait 30 Minutes then :-)

has anyone tested xmb manager plus with gamedata usb installs?

I was able to install psn games to external usb with original rebug package manager using USB/HDD gamedata utility ,but not after installin xmb+ no longer able to install gamedata to external usb drive. Wondering if this version works with usb/hdd gamedata ? After switching to USB XMB+ doesn't show under xmb if anyone has this working i will install this version of xmb+

Yes it can, but cant be installed, just use multiman or ftp and copy the folder XMBMANPLS from hdd/game to GAMEI on usb then it shows up on the xmb.

a problem
i installed it with no problem
but when i was exploring its menus i stocked in somewhere(idont remember) and i had to restart system
after restart "XMB Manager Plus" was in xmb but i couldnt enter to it
i restarted again and now i dont have any menu for installing pkgs(not "XMB Manager Plus" nor "Install Package Files" in xmb
what should i do?
