I think 3.55 dex + PnP was formed by using 3.55 dex fw and installing MM dex edition which re-enabled peek n poke. I could be wrong. all files are available on ps3devwiki

Dumb question: Why does it have to be dumped from linux? doesn't memdump 0.01 dump the correct sections?

What server are you getting your update that is allowing you to play a 3.60+ retail update on a DEX machine, this update will have to be a fself in order to run on a DEX.

Since when has MM ever enabled peek/poke?

If you don't have linux installed and have a understanding of how to use it how are you going to write your altered NOR.BIN back to the NOR? All the tools out for gameOS are read only.

Unless you have a flasher and are reading and writing that way.

Did sound great until he said that you can't play bluraymovies with it, well that's me nackered then, as it's one of the main reason I did buy the PS3 in the first place (games was an extra for me).. No doubt once we have all converted our units to dex ( :P ) there will be someone who figures out backup loading (unrestricted) and BD movie playback. It's only a matter of waiting it out......zzz

Just saw some interesting infos over at ps3 iso from squarepusher3 aka... im sure you know, talking with someone he spoke to about this CEX DEX leak. This is what he posted of what the other guy said: Hope its allowed to repost his infos here (all credit to him):

It's sad though that it seems that we can't trust the devwiki anymore (not that I ever used it xD)

Finally our waiting will be repayed.
But I think we shouldn't get our hopes too high though. ^^
