Having a PSN/SEN account is completely different than having a sp-int (DEVELOPER) account.

Just because you can access PSN on your PS3 does not mean that you will be able to access the DEVELOPER network on your PS3. Only some privileged people get that

PSN ≠ sp-int

(psn does not equal dev network (sp-int)) the two networks are completely different.

This one is about SFO and game. You can push the update if you have modded your SFO without the need of the same eboot game.
I think. You should ask the master of SFO for confirm this and details: @sandungas or refer to the wiki page.

Is possible to make a hdd game (or a master disc) thats is identifyed by the PS3 as a real game (but is not a real game, is a hombrew)
By using the real TITLE_ID of the game and changing APP_VER in the PARAM.SFO you can try to download patches for the game (if they exist)
