I really don't like this kind of stuff, imo there's no point in unlocking the trophies if you didn't manage to get them by yourself..
The same applies to the cheats, it's too ****ing annoying trying to play a game online and have some fun when the thing is full o cheaters.

This is not meant to bash this application, it's nice to see how the stuff works in a whole so this is just another step.

is it going to create problems if I delete all trophies from PS3? I don't need them and don't care to have them.

UPDATE: Looking at the config file, you should call it something else, without your name in it, like config.ini or something. Additionally, you should leave the IP blank. I'm not sure what that IP is, but if it is yours or your PS3 IP, that could lead to problems. Also, why C#? .NET is kind of annoying and a security hassle for most end-users. C# is fine, I was just making an observation. I use C++, and I am also an optimization nut. Haha.
If you argue that it should be open source, so as many as POSSIBLE users should be able to learn from it, I cannot see why you criticize the choice of C#, as that is far easier to read than C++ for most.
Besides, whats the problem with C# (Or the .NET platform that C# uses rather).

Besides.. How slower is C# really compared to C++, if he should use C++ for the sake of optimization?... at most 5~% perhaps in the newer releases?

The fact that its compiled to bytecode and interpreted instead of being macine instructions does not really slow it down alot... If I remember right, from my compiler course, there are even cases where the execution of bytecode are faster than the execution of bytecode as the JVM/CLI can do on the fly optimizations of the code, when executing it.

This pissed me off. So he should simply remove all references to him as being the creator, just because he should share it with everyone as an anonymous piece of code? Dude... You cannot be serious about that. You will have a hard time finding any leaked programs are source code in any scene, where the contributor doesn't take the pride in putting his name on it. Gee.
The only exception would most likely be internal leaks, not meant for the public, or things that are meant to be released anonymous, because of infringementon Sony's copyrights.

Nice piece of work btw OP. Although.. I hate the concept of cheating this way.. I see absolutely no purpose or satisfaction in it <_> But.. that is a personal opinion..

EDIT: OK I guess I misunderstood you a little vgturtle - sorry - though some of your words still seems a bit.. don't know what to call it, rude/unappropiate/unpleasant perhaps?
Indeed it could be fun seeing the source and comparing it to the other similar programs To figure out if he just basically ported the other versions, and placed his name on it Maybe that's why he used Enigma (:P)

Second Edit: I guess its clear that I like .NET (because of F# and C#), shouldn't keep that as a secret >_< Love C too though, so I'm not entirely high lvl biased

This error comes up:

An error has occurred. (0x80022d88)
Unable to obtain/create trophy data.
Press PS button and quit the game.

when I try to play a game (this error is from Tekken 6), every game gives a different error and the trophies won't get unloked at all. They will get restored to what they was before. Running on Rebug 3.55.2 CFW with 4.20 spoof (to connect to PSN). Maybe I need to change debug settings or what?

EDIT: Now trophies are unlocked 100% (except Tekken 6 which is 95% 2 trophies missing that are not even shown) but I can't play any game since an error will occur when loading the trophy system. Trophies aren't 100% completed when comparing with a friend (PSN) so only I can see them 100% unlocked and the problem is possibly there!

Why do stuff like this keep getting created and released? I've had already created my own trophy hacking tool and released it to the public about two years ago.

However, if you hack the trophies this way and sync them, PSN will return an error.

But just for your information:

Yes, TROPUSR.DAT stores your trophy records but the main purpose of this file is to display your trophy records in your PS3 trophy collection. That's it.

To make the hacked trophies truly real, you would NEED to hack TROPTRNS.DAT (used for syncing) and make it acknowledge and match the changed TROPUSR.DAT file (hacked).

But good luck with that because TROPTRNS.DAT is fully encrypted.

There may be an easier way to "hack" trophies. Just create a PS3 app, spoof it as an actual game and then fool the NP Trophy Utility by calling a function called sceNpTrophyUnlockTrophy() to unlock certain trophies based on the same game (spoof). When the NP Trophy Utility hears your request, it'll then do the whole work (unlocking a trophy, updating all of the trophies files (TROPTRNS.DAT, etc.) This method is possible, unless there are more encryptions and checks (game signature, keys, etc...) that will be used for the utility...

This is the problem exactly, good explain
This can be verifyed by taking a look at the dates when the files are updated (e.g: play a game and make a trophy, then quit the game and go to his trophy folder)
You will se the file TROPUSR.DAT has been updated, and... the file TROPTRNS.DAT has been updated too (usually... but not always, and im not sure why)

My speculation is this happens because TROPTRNS.DAT contains a copy of TROPUSR.DAT
And when you try to synchronize trophies with PSN all the TROPTRNS.DAT files are updated... and then synchronized with PSN

Yeah, I wasn't saying to destroy all traces of him. I just meant maybe for his own security/feel-goodiness? And I have seen C# programs that were faster than C++ ports (PSPE4ALL is C# rather than C++), I guess I was just saying it would be cool to release the source, and I got kind of mind-sidetracked. I like when people release tools, the OP has skill. More than I can do anyway. I was never trying to bash or be mean to the guy. I hope he knows that. Also, the packer you used is easily unpacked with any PEID or look alike. Just saying.
