btw the devs knew how to do this like a year ago.

one of the dev was trying to sell me dev unit ps3 for 1000 dollars a pop saying he doesnt need it and have 6 of them.

also there is a custom mm to play 3.55 games, however it cant play the games above due to lack of keys still.

also he told me it can upgrade and downgrade to any dev firmware

*SIGH* Well thanks for the release, but honestly.... what's with all the the devs handing down all these judgments on us? even worst is the fact that they are acting just like sony when they assumed everybody who was arguing about OtherOS must be a pirate... sad, sad, day when developers themselves turn into the very thing they are supposed to stand against.

That out of the way, I'll ignore the "holier than thou" bit and agree with them that it's not worth releasing something only to be berated with the same questions, blamed for people's lack of reading skills, etc, etc. Again I point towards that ugly feeling of entitlement that A VERY HIGH % of scene following kids "l33t kiddos" only care about running their pirated games and just calling them annoying is doing them a great favor. Just to be clear, my issue with them is not that they are pirating, sadly we won't bankrupt sony by pirating... or I'd be called Captain MALEX, but with their misguided feeling that devs owe them sh*t.

So again I'm stuck between both parties, but I gotta say that the more devs generalize about this piracy crap the less sympathetic I am. My take on piracy is: if you say you're not pirating then you're not, and good for you; if you say you are, then good for you; if you say you aren't, but you really are, then good for you (and really no need to lie, I doubt anybody's going to snitch on you), but whether you are pirating or not... I DON'T CARE!

What's next? are they going to police underage drinking?

Maybe they have a "free beer for life" exploit but they are not releasing it because of that.

After reading the other news (the one with the tool) I've got it. You need the EID root key (which is a per console key). So, still not luck for 3xxx owners
