Advantages of conversion from CEX to DEX?
We have seen lately these new about converting a PS3 CEX to a PS3 DEX model.
I'm a complete noob at this. What I'm going to ask is: What's the advantage of this conversion? |

A DEX is a homebrew machine. You don't need any 3.60+ keys because you just fake sign the eboots. Yes, they have restrictions, but the nice thing is, you can downgrade to 3.55 with known keys via XMB and have patched FW that removes these restrictions.

The reason why I kept my answer short and said nothing yet, is because this thing still needs to make it's first big steps. There is a lot of work needed and you need to be techsavvy to be sure not to fack your system up.
Yes, sure there are advantages. But it's better to wait until more process has been made, making it more noob-friendly. Everybody is jumping on the bandwagon as soon as something got released. In Dutch we have a phrase "De kat uit de boom kijken" Literal translation "Looking the cat out of the tree" Which means "Rather than jumping into a situation, one waits and sees how things work out." English phrase thats somewhat like the same is "See which way the wind blows" I know it can be hard, but just sit down and relax, wait a couple of weeks until stuff is figured out.
