Seeing his tool is the only one I would trust if I were any of you :P
I hope you all relise the leaker is 100% using his work and yes we know who the leak came from and he has 0 skill of doing anything but spreading misinformation and his retard mentality. As for the people saying that this core group of devs give misinformation, you must be out of your ****in mind seeing we dont mislead anyone. You must have us mixed up for someone else that I wont bother to bring up the name :P

Anyway enjoy the release and try to to brick to many consoles :P
I'll post some ways to do it from petitboot perhaps :P

Some of us that want to hack our ps3's are like little kids, always looking at the shiny button and wondering "what does that button do?". IMO, i would love to have a dex console not to pirate, but to see what certain functions do. because i own two ps3's, it doesn't bother me to play the latest games. To me, it's knowing the unknown. what did i buy and how can i make it useful for years to come. it's the number 1 reason why i love the ps3devwiki site. as i read and research, i learn more and more about the wonderful 400 machine that is sucking energy every time i turn it on.

Anyway here is the code you all want to flash from petitboot:
I have posted on how to R/W entire NOR or just the eEID section.
Make sure to take a valid dump from gameOS as well so you can match both dumps also if you have a hardware flasher I highly advise you do, check that dump against the soft dumps to make 100% sure :P

How to W/R NOR from petiteboot:

READ NOR : dd if=/dev/ps3nflasha of=/tmp/petitboot/mnt/sda1/cexnor.bin bs=1024

WRITE NOR: dd if=dexnor.bin of=/dev/ps3nflasha bs=1024

READ eEID : dd if=/dev/ps3nflasha skip=$((0x2F000)) of=/tmp/petitboot/mnt/sda1/eid.bin bs=1 count=$((0x10000))

WRITE eEID: dd if=eid.bin.dex of=/dev/ps3nflasha bs=1 seek=$((0x2F000)) count=$((0x10000))

Congrats you just exemplified the elitist attitude of the upper echelon of l33t PS3 devs. It's a real pity that people such as yourself have a decent set of skills that could help many people around the globe but you'd rather sit on your perch with the other faceless and non-faceless devs looking down your noses at the 'peasants'. Enjoy your company and do throw us the scraps when you feel up to it.....

If what you are now giving is genuine though, why did/does it take all this childish behaviour to get you (and others) to give it?

Yes, some things need to be sat on for valid reasons, but the reasons given over the last 12months or so for all the secrecy and lies would not fool a 10yr old child.

well its out now and there were plenty of reasons to keep it quite I'm sure you'll see in the very near future ;(
but oh well whats done is done

and yes that code I just posted will get you up and running without a hardware flasher but I am not responsible for anyone bricking due to them not know what their doing

Whilst I await your polite answer to my polite question I will just say......... Errrrrrr, what have you released? The last few days have proven, by your own words as well as everything else, that you only 'release' any information at all these days when forced to.... So hence my polite question as to why it takes childish behaviour to make you 'step up' and act like a human being and not some maniac with a God complex?

I love to see post like this. I means that were no longer sitting on our asses taking the crumbs and little pieces from the devs. All us end-users needed was something like this to end all the bullsh*t in the scene.
