Just to be clear and further emphasise my point in fear that it has been lost, I am not angered by the leak. It may not even be a leak, who knows, who cares. Its done and it's out. What makes me angry is that this developer has released his hard work due to the leak, Work that makes performing this task easier but has received slack for not releasing it earlier.

Sonic_ISO and co have been known to have had this method for some time and have not released it, and have been known to make money off it. This is who we should be angry at.

The developer who provided this tool, developed it completely independently as a team effort, did not use it to make money, but to share with other developers who could put it to proper use. I know this for a fact and that's why I'm angry, it's someone that I have grown to know well and have great respect for.

squarepusher, I have been in this scene far too long, I know who you are, and your history. It's really unfortunate you brought one of the first converts by Sonic, I would feel ripped off too. To be honest, at that time it would have been a nice tool to have, but it's not my fault and it's not something I can fix.

Tell us of this 'proper use' that will cease to exist if this was shared with everyone, not just devs. Even if Sony patches this exploit in future DEX firmwares, devs still has DEX firmwares up to 4.21. Why do need future DEX firmwares? And why should this have not been disclosed to public? Please tell us.

Well debugs are great for debugging and profiling. If you want to develop some kick ass game then dex is the only way to go along with the official sdk. Psl1ght is good and stuff but nothing matches prodg tools+debug system for ps2/ps3/psp/psp2
