I still don't get all the hate about the dev's....
EVERYTHING is in the Wiki's, IRC and other platforms.

If you can do anything with technical informations, you get the informations you need!!!

And if you don't know anything about the technical side, why the hell do you bother at all?!

ALL these STUPID PEOPLE crying, all the dev's don't share their informations... DO YOU EVER LOOKED FOR ANY INFORMATIONS???

Everything is there just look for it, if you want you can even get access to BOOTLOADER and metloader with the information on the wiki etc.
And with the bootloader and metloader you have the PS3 completly HACK and for all Firmwares....
It's just a bunch of work and knowledge you need to get to this point ...

If you want you can get everything, just remember that...

It's all in the eye of the beholder.. for some people what some dev's do is unethical, for others it's common sense.. As I said, if you really show serious interest in those information and can show you actually can use the info, you'll be able to get the info from those dev's, but 99.9% of the people who scream about dev's being unethical can't do anything with the info..

Now that the per_console_key c2d method has been leaked...

Information is a virus.
Some secrets need to be kept to keep the magic alive... true.
But this scene is anemic at best, only kept alive with leaked supplements.

Security thru Obscurity is more than just "badly" hidden secrets
Its also about making something so complicated
that taking it apart makes the venture a poor personal experience.
"Devs" just need to step up and understand that its very complicated on purpose.
They should stop complaining about how much work is involved.
Its only going to get harder...

End users should just sit back and enjoy the show from the peanut gallery.
Because that's all they are getting at this bar,
some nasty old peanuts that everyone has had their hands on.
Stop complaining about CFW versions, they are not needed.

Its really hard to know fake information from the real ones. and its even harder when popular sites are sharing those "fake" information.

With that being said I was still interested enough to read the entire thing hoping to decipher the hidden meaning but it seemed like a rant that lost sight of its Target statement half way through. I'm the exact same way. Have you tried adderall? It'll fix that up in a jiffy.

We still lack that special key. From my understanding we have the per_console_root_key_1 / EID_root_key as well as the per_console_root_key_2 / EID0_key. We lack the per_console_root_key_0 which may or may not be acquired with use of the per_console_root_key_1.

As such the scene is not quite "open". If we found a way to get back to the per_console_root_key_0 then we could declare it open season as we could decrypt and encrypt the bootldr (or use math's exploit to fake sign it) and then of course modify it to dump lv0.
