Look sir, there is a world of difference between the guys on the 360 scene vs this one. I've flashed DVD drives, jtagged my 360s and cmod ` d one too. I've never paid a dime to any of the scene companies other than donations. To juneflasher guys back in the day. I've never felt I've been pushed over a barrel like the end users are on the s3 scene. If you think the ps3 scene is anywhere near as end user friendly. I've been in the 360 scene from 06 and the xbox1 scene from 02. On the Xbox 1 scene the tsop flashing meant nice modchip was even needed. On the 360 it this same. "Cfw" on Xbox has always been free with enigmah and xecutor. Freeboot and now fusion continue that tradition.

The key difference between the guys on here and the 360 scene is that people like xecutor also have h/w sales. The devs on here have no other income streams. Not all devs, but the "bad" ones.

Makes need laugh when with some of the devs comments...how dumb do you think we are?. Sure we can't hack the ps3 like you, but I doubt you could do our jobs (not console related).

Btw this not directed to you but to "certain" ps3 devs.. thecurrent ps3 userbase Is how It Is, that's the life of a dev, small amount of fame and maybe some $$$, but you won't be worshipped.

As for the the 360 scene yeah flashing you dvd drive is free, butI dont think you remember that ****-storm at the time of that release. I have also been in that scene form the start, and there is plenty of drama behind the scenes that you guys dont get to see (devs leaking code to other devs to make $).
People seem to think theres some kind of drama in the PS3 scene, but in fact its only forum trolls that start all the drama (not limited to the owners of said forums). The devs who start drama with other devs just leave or get kicked and I have to say there is absolutely ZERO drama with the current group of devs working on this console all of them are super friendly and are all working towards a common goal.

I was messing with petitboot and got the error ps3dm_iim not found. Doesn't this need to be installed to dump metldr? or do I just need to run sudo modprobe ps3dmproxy. I have only done this with the full linux install.
