The main problem for this cex->dex conversion for most people is the needed linux, and this is not in itself a problem but because one must know his way around linux in general to complete the tasks. Don't have to be linux guru but be a bit more than just familiar with the
OS. My image arhive should help some of you but (that are not getting kernels that boot for some reason, or are just lazy ... ) it doesn't help anyone that doesn't have minimum linux (terminal) knowledge.. edit: Here is the dropbox link for the same image i posted before. I'll be deleting the other link (to my home server) because ... well, i need the bandwidth for other reasons. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jlxu7qkfoh...rpwn_image.tgz Last edited by dlbogdan; 07-15-2012 at 10:19 AM. |

http://www.ps3hax.net/showpost.php?p...&postcount=893 Mainly you use linux (on your pc/mac) to partition an usb drive ex. partition 1 : primary 4 GB ext3 partition 2: primary 1 GB linux swap you don't need to make it bootable. you then unarchive the file onto the ext3 parition then you modify from within petitboot the test entry with the correct root mountpoint and you boot it. voila, you skipped downloading and compiling linux kernel and other time consuming stuff (and prone to errors) |
