Would think that by flashing the original CEX flash dump of the eid you made back to the console and installing a CEX firmware you would be back to normal though you would want to make sure you were runing the 3.55 DEX firmware before hand. though polease do not assume that this is right as I've not actually tried to revert my unit.

If you have time and feel adventurous, you should flash the original CEX dump of the eid back and see if a CEX PS3 can boot 3.55DEX. If you don't install CEX FW after changing the Target ID, syscon doesn't get updated, so it *shouldn't* allow debug FW to boot on a retail (according to the Target ID), but I'm reading elsewhere that when you first convert to DEX, you boot into (retail)XMB and install the DEX firmware, but wait, what?! Running retail FW on a debug, (For QA flagged machines, it was even recommended somewhere to see if the button combo works as a test to see if the convert worked, and you're actually a debug machine sans the DEX firmware) I guess nothing really works right in that state, because the machine is in limbo between retail and debug, but it kind of surprises me that it doesn't just panic and ylod...

can u check the screenshots and please share howto fix, as u can see it loads fine after "system is going down now" then a couple errors, 1 FATAL about mounting, then it drops to a bash shell, no login needed
i can see all folders, not the metldrpwn in "root" because i didn't mount something, or is it a nogo from DVDR?

thx.
I guess you're saying that you burned my archive onto a dvd. that would never work because the linux as it is configured expects to be able to WRITE onto the drive.

I'd build a live environment (that even boots from dvd) but someone has to help me install linux on dex first..

@Hells Guardian

No, I thought that would never work on DEX. I'd try it, is it risk free?
I'm feeling up to the challenge to build a live iso (hopefully very tiny) scripted so it's easy to use by linux n00bs because my archive is not working for some of you for some reason.
Also, dropbox suspended my account for 3 days because of very high bandwidth conssumption

So, I need someone that TRIED it to tell me what should I do to prep my DEX for otheros. I can do without hdd repartition, I'll just use an external drive.
