I get this error when I run ./create_hdd_region.sh on a NOR:

"creating new storage region (312581808, -8) ...
ps3stor_region: invalid option -- 8"

Does it matter or can I just go on?

for the bd playback recovery on dex you can also use the "drivefix" lv2diag .. it can be found in the original cex-dex leak by youknow ..

edit..nevermind the rebuild dvdimage, would be a nice on ein the toolbox, tho enough ways to obtain key already

thx but only get a lot of errors when i put the code into a file called create_hdd_region.sh and run it on petitboot alternative download where I can just wget the file?

Original create_hdd_regions.sh:

new_reg_start_sector=`expr $last_reg_start_sector + $last_reg_sector_count`
free_sector_count=`expr $n_blocks - $new_reg_start_sector`
new_reg_sector_count=`expr $free_sector_count - 8`

For -8 errors:

new_reg_start_sector=`expr $last_reg_start_sector + $last_reg_sector_count + 8`
free_sector_count=`expr $n_blocks - $new_reg_start_sector`
new_reg_sector_count=`expr $free_sector_count - 8`

Seems the only difference is the red highlighted bit above so you could edit your existing script.

Just check both files and make sure that's the only difference to be sure and also CHMOD it.

The file by bleh already has the +8 stuff in it? Damn can't find any other difference :> Just tried it the other way around without +8 and no errors now - will give it another go then with the rest of the steps - thanks for your help

Uhm. Do I understand correctly, that with that patch you could actually have the following items on DEX 4.x?
-Homebrew (without peek/poke, but stuff like showtime/Otherdev's games/etc)
-Bluraymovie playback
-ability to play original disc 3.55+ games

So you could prettymuch do everything except logon to PSN (until there is a new passphrase known).
